This next patch is gonna need to be massive...

The more I play the more glaring the issues in this game. Really hope the next patch is BIG…and soon…

Wishlist:
Aside from balancing/gameplay/mechanical fixes which, I’m gonna trust Illfonic to make the call on those as we all want different things, I really hope with the next patch…

  1. I’ll be able to reliably leap, jump from tree to tree, and just generally move as the Predator with more precision. Not falling off a tree or flying straight up in the air, or generally just not going where I want to go, beyond user error.

  2. The framerate/game performance will be optimized so I can hit and lead my targets more reliably.

  3. Collision issues are addressed so when playing the Predator, my projectiles can clear objects in the game so I don’t have to be completely exposed to the entire fireteam just to get a single shot off.

  4. I can mud up and interact with objects more reliably.

  5. There are more than 3 useful weapons/loadouts in the game…I guess this is a balancing thing.

  6. I actually have some kinda of progression or way of earning loot/currency/rewards for playing.

  7. Kills I get as the Predator will be counted as kills regardless of whether the players reinforced, quit, or bleed out.

  8. My stamina doesn’t stop regenerating in the middle of combat.

  9. My energy doesn’t stop regenerating, or fails to start regenerating after an overload.

  10. Text chat with other players in the lobby

  11. Speaking of which, it’d be great to be able to fill those lobbies…or just get into a match. It is a multiplayer only game after all.

  12. Matchmaking, matchmaking, and oh, idk, MATCHMAKING.

  13. That people will still be playing this game…or that I will still be playing this game.

  14. That Illfonic learns how to post on forums, use Twitter, or just generally communicate with the playerbase. Sadly, I don’t think there’s a patch for that.

#14 I don’t think is gonna happen. I have a bad feeling that after the DLC’s drop there’s not gonna be much else. And I think that after the DLC’s drop, the game isnt gonna be much different than its current state.

That’s my concern. Aside from a few minor bug fixes I have a feeling there won’t be any major changes or updates. I hope I wrong. I such a huge fan of Predator, part of me wants to keep grinding out the loot, and trying the new characters and maps they add…but I’m not gonna let them cash in on my fandom. They either fix the game, or I’m out. Now that I own it, I might come back months or even a year later just to see, but if they don’t start making major changes soon, there won’t be anyone left playing the game.

Maneater comes out Friday. Looked like dumb fun. Another small studio and honestly after my experience with this game I’m hesitant…but I’m gonna give it a go. I’m done playing this until they can make it competitive. And by that I just mean precise enough to be about skill and tactics. It’s fun when I works, but it so often doesn’t and I’ve been killed by sloppy mechanics so many times.

I’m a huge fan also and I really hope this game gets significantly better.

I’m hoping for a full No Man’s Sky level turn around…but I don’t know. I’m really hoping that the team at Illfonic is insanely passionate and they were forced by Sony to release too early so the corporate diaper bags could cash in on everyone being stuck at home…

Hopefully they’re all working like mad to polish, balancing, fix, tweak, add and remove. And test all of it.

I know when No Man’s Sky had a bad launch, the devs went silent and just ghosted everyone while they worked their asses off. That turned out pretty good. Hope it’s the same. Man I really hope.
