This, I’m betting after his spat with his parents they laid some ground rules which includes paying for rent if he wants a say in how he lives his life under their rules. Now he happens to post this post about a generality of children paying rent.

To sum up the common sense required: once you’re an adult, you have a grown up conversation with your parents and see what you want to do. If you stay home, do you have a job? Then help pay for something. If not, get a job. If in school then that’s a different situation you gotta hash out. If you move out then good luck and hope you have friends and family to have a safety net should things go to shit.
