Whenever I’ve met an excellent Predator, I’ve always praised them, extended the invitation to be their friend, and then played against them until I can consistently beat them.

That is a good video that shows how broken slam really is. Go for instance at 2:46 and see how he is killing someone trough 2 levels of elevation. He did not even need to hit the floor under what that guy was hiding, but the ROOF! Seriously? Look at the distance just as well.

yeah, it can be tuned down a little… I got a video coming out where I just destroy building campers with it.
Which is why it absolutely doesn’t need tuning. It’s one of the few counters to things like that. Slam is fine as is. Stay alert, don’t stay in one place and slam won’t be an issue for any decent FT member .

I mean it probably isn’t the best idea to fight three guys with knives in closer quarters, net gun or not, but it also isn’t a good idea to provoke a Predator to roof slamming by hiding in spots you can’t be hit otherwise and rely solely on your knives. I had a Fireteam the other try to three man knife rush me. It didn’t go well for them and I was half asleep. Knife should be primarily for self defense unless you are a God with it.
