Tips for fighting PC players? (Pred main)

I’m on PC so I can’t turn cross play off, I play with a controller because I prefer it and i’m a pretty good shot. Anyway I am having a lot of trouble fighting PC players, I will win the odd game against a solid PC squad but I really have to fight tooth and nail. It seems like they always know where I am going to be and they always get a shot in before I can so I can never get close enough to fight.

9 times out of 10 I will kick the FT’s ass when i’m up against PS4 players, my playstyle tends to be focused on bow, combi throw and charged caster shots. I stick to the trees for the majority and use the leap and fast ascend perks, the key with this play style is that I am always moving to confuse the players I usually down them all to the point I can execute them to avoid the reinforce. However when I do this against PC players I get melted, I can’t get a shot in without losing a ton of health. It just feels like everyone has aim bot, but on the other hand I can understand how they do it. The problem is how do I counter that when I am rushed for time as it is?

I was up against a squad last night and they went to one location and extracted right next to it, I was on them the whole time so I don’t understand how they finished the mission that fast. Any tips would be appreciated, although I shouldn’t have to change my playstyle which is already stupid for a predator game, not to mention having to follow a “meta” cough Illfonic cough

Ummm stealth kills dont stop a player from being reinforced.

Playing against pc players their is really only one thing and that is skill. Other than there is nothing

Yeah… I know that but they can’t reinforce when they all die together, also what is that skill? What is it that is changing the course of the game so drastically?

Its not your fault. The match making trains the PC player to be tough as steel because most of the time PC players on crossplay are forced to pretty much take the blunt end of the match to knockout the predator when the three other players are Playstation casuals.
Ratio is that one PC player 1/3 times are 10x as likely to score 1000+ predator damage forcibly.

Then when that one PC player goes up against an all PC player game (predator included), its almost a given they will become the death squad and sometimes forgoe any mission objectives.

See the objectives never change in the mission, but the players do. Then suddenly every one feels like they need to up their game in order to get more predator damage done.

There is no advice other than wait out the game and stalk until they degroup for whatever reason.
Take them out one at a time.

It doesn’t matter if they have a keyboard or mouse, maybe it does. But generally if a group is together and they merge fire power, you’re done for.

Stop using the controller bud. That is how you deal with PC fireteams. You’re handicaping yourself for no good reason. Its going to be hard at first, but eventually you’re going to perform far better.

I can use a mouse and keyboard fine, I use it with other games but you don’t need it to be a good predator. I can lead my shots pretty well, I never have a problem with the timing. If anything I feel like pred is made for a controller, it feels so much smoother and more responsive in my opinion

Playstation controllers make ppl generally slower to react and follow birds but they can aim pretty much the same. But again …it is slower. BUt their problem solving abilities are the ssame level as PC players no doubt about it.

MK in FPS games are a big advantage. If you’re good with MK, USE THEM. If you’re performing just as well with controller as MK then you’re not good with the MK.

Neah, I’ve watch some of the best players in the PS Tournament. Not they can’t. I’ve seen them following fast moving targets with the controller. Find a good predator or FT that moves a lot and jumps and you’re not going to hit them as much.

I have yet to find a single console player who can trade range fire with me (me FT, him pred). If the pred is on PC, I don’t stand a chance.

Dont stick to the trees
Thats a big fault trust me
U can only move to 2 sides on trees and u are visible (I am ft main, preds who are on trees are easy to kill)

PS players…there is a good majority that are asleep at the wheel. There is a general feeling of ease with a controller that makes ppl TOO comfortable and never on edge. Its probably due to the responsiveness equal to being like on autopilot or automatic transmission.IMHO.

I think some good conservative advice for Predators against PC FT would be
Jump in- Attack for 4 seconds and jump out. Jump around and around.
Repeat. as a melee tactic.

For range attacks thats a different approach.

Yeah but this isn’t the problem i’m having with losing, it’s how i’m approaching the opposing players so what else can I do? If you are telling me that a predator can’t get the first hit on a target because they see you coming from a mile away then how is that alright? The game design needs a rework then because you are supposed to be a space alien that goes invisible yet I can’t use stealth? The game makes no sense then really, does it? Aim is not the issue here is what I am trying to tell you, this is not my ego getting in the way and saying I am better than everyone. They always see me first which is the problem so how I can I avoid that?

Of course you can…you must learn how.
Stealth comes from far away. It is not jumping in front of them and then trying to stealth.

You have to start literally for about 200-300 meters away and see what they are doing.

The moment you hear them, or see their thermal signatures, you need to start planning then. Traps…warning shots…get them scared.
Then once they diverge at any moment or when you find the terrain obstructive you can then make some form of attack.

It’s a weird one because I use a bit of both, I will stick to range for most of the time however I will also jump down on the players that stray and go for a melee hit and run.

You need to come from the ground and always have LOS between you and FT. Predators can’t go invisible. Its camouflage, it just makes you harder to see.

In the end you did say you win a lot, you’re going to have to deal with the fact that you can’t win them all. I’ve had quite a few predators that I could not win just as well.

You should also find some of Yuppers vids. He is a damn good predator, perhaps those will help.

BTW, if you consider 4 FT kills a win…you’re on a different level than I am. I will be of no help. Ask a dev.
My shit is like 1 FT kill, 2 Tops.FYI. I guess conversation ends here?

Alright so that is assuming that I am being a complete tool, I don’t leap in like a mad man flailing my combi around like a fresh out of water pred. I know how to be sneaky beaky but what about time? I want to take my time but I can’t, the games are just to fast paced?

Ranged Only

Spear for it’s heavy, Pistol for quick fire, and whatever helps.

Don’t get in close, there is no telling if FT will drop you in 2 seconds, and keep your boars at a high.

Understand, you will get death squads and you will get mission objective squads and you will get newbie schools…like on any given day. So for whatever reason…drum it up to luck or selective matchmaking.
