Who told them it was a good idea to have FIVE OR MORE potential reinforcement points per map? Basically guarantees that theres no way to stop it without inane map knowledge!

This is absolutely true now too. Health bar gets melted faster than a snowball in hell.

I mean in all actuality while a Predator is quite durable, outside of Zerker they wear very little armor and 4 guys with high powered weapons unloading into you should rightly melt you quite fast, but I do also think that they should add in some sort of location based resistance to certain weapons IE you do less damage or no damage if you hit the armor as opposed to hitting an exposed spot. This small change could help balance it out for new players and create new challenges for veterans.

I digress but in response with a tactic paying attention and keeping track of the FTM and which way they are facing is VERY important especially for those that prefer Melee over ranged. Try to remain still or move only in cover of bushes or shadow when they are facing you, try to strike when their backs are turned or they are distracted(fighting AI, interacting with something, mudding up) and never try to down a FTM near or in front of another you can only engage one at a time with melee they do not share this same weakness as a group. Being a melee main at this stage of the game I’ll admit is much more difficult than it was in the past, but it is still possible you just have to be more crafty and tactical with your approach; of course adding some form of ranged attack to your strategy is always a good idea.

A compilation of a few of my matches since the patch with my Scout. I am by no means the best out there but I think I hold my own, hope it helps new Predators somewhat.

Wise old Yautja saying…“It is better to take 1 trophy and survive than to take 3 and die going for the 4th after Ft has reinforced, like a greedy butthead.”

Set up private matches to practice using predator tools. If you have any noob friends that play also, play private matches with each other, 1 on 1 so each of you gets practice on each team. Practice with everything too, to see where your strengths lie.

Don’t run headlong into any 1 on 1 melee fight. The FT knife can destroy you in seconds. Use bear traps and the net gun, then slice them up with wrist blades.

If you catch an FT in a bear trap, but others are still alive, soften the trapped member up with the plasma caster, hand held plasma caster or bow.

Early on, use perks that increase your energy bar and stamina. You need that cloaking device operational and until you unlock other weapons, the plasma caster as well and you’ll need stamina to escape if need be.

If you unlock green shaders, use them. Natural camouflage is useful too.

If you down an Ft member, just shoot them until they die. Don’t worry about claiming trophies, unless you kill a claimable AI trooper. FT’s love to lie in wait for you, while you claim.

Kill pigs early and save them for later. If you kill one near the edge of the map, or at least in an isolated area, all the better. If an FT member finds your pig, they may mud up and wait for you to feed, then kill you. Before you feed, check out the area. If it looks too easy, it probably is.

Use AI to your advantage. With their damage buff, its worth it to have them set off alarms, grow in numbers and harass the FT. Then you can make your move.

If you can identify which mission the FT is on, you can trap certain objectives to harass the FT and make them use up their stims.

Let me be specific, I’m not a pred main or a ft main. I play both, and have been since the start. I play with a premade ft and we don’t lose very often. In most cases the predator is down within 5 min from being spotted. Sometimes faster sometimes slower depending on skill. I’ve seen predators die to AI before ever being seen by us, and I’ve seen predators run the clock out after deciding they don’t want to risk another engagement. But very rarely do I see a predator that downs all 4 of us or is actually capable of preventing us from getting reinforcements.

As a predator, I always win against a group of fandoms and sometimes win against a premade team.

I don’t really care one way or the other but it would be nice to be able to get more of a challenge from predators rather than balance the game around random players that couldn’t put 100 damage on the pred if you buffed every weapon for them.

In short, I’m tired of random players that teabag the predator after I just got done defusing it and the scoreboard shows the random did 60 damage to the predator right next to my 3124 damage

But then cry nerf the pred when they lose cause good players weren’t around to save them.

Brooo, saaaame. I had a match where my friend and I downed a pred and defused. I did 2k and my friend did 1k and the 2 randos did literally no damage. They start shooting and teabagging the body like they did something. That shit gets on my nerves so much. Its like COD when your top leaderboard and a dude who’s at the bottom of the leaderboard starts shit-talking. What I also hate is when the pred is downed and you have to diffuse, randos just run away, like wtf? At least try! Keep in mind these dudes who ran away would come back after my friend and I diffused, would then…you guessed it…shoot and teabag pred. Like come on! Don’t be a dick!

Come again?

And realism would suggest a 8ft Alien that weighs a ton with laser sharp wristblades should take 50% of a fleshsacks health with a single swipe, realistically they’d kill you from severe blood loss

Add Bleed Effect to wristblades😈 Fix their damn tracking, keep the tradition alive!!

Oh trust me I know, by all rights a FTM should be obliterated by one swing of the War Club as well ,as far as realistic goes, but then matches would go even quicker its strange where they choose to apply that realistic touch 😁😂

I’ve been having the hardest time dealing with these weapons.
