just came here to point out, according to the game, yeah, not defusing is considered a loss for both FT and Pred (so it’s a tie).

in the end, is pointless to defuse as there is no reward. Only time we do it is for the daily/weekly challenges.
So when we kill the pred, we don’t defuse. If preds wanna think we “lost” or we “ain’t that good” because we don’t want to waste 60 seconds running or fighting stupid AI… oh well… whatever helps their good night sleep

Actually, no. It’s considered a successful hunt for the Predator since the technology was destroyed if detonated. However, if a Fireteam member survives, THEN it’s a loss. As long as the proof of its existence is protected from humans, the Predator’s honor remains intact, thus, a win.

If the body is captured, the Predator loses

If the timer expires and the Predator has no kills, the game is a draw

If the Fireteam escapes, the Predator loses

If one Fireteam member escapes and the rest die, the Predator loses

If the Predator kills each Fireteam member, the Predator wins

If the timer expires and the Predator has at least one Fireteam kill, the Predator wins

That’s incorrect.

The timer expiring with neither team winning is a draw. The Predator’s side declares Prey Escaped and the Fireteam’s side Left Behind. Both lose. As such, a draw

If the Predator has at least one Fireteam kill and the timer expires, the game declares Fireteam Eliminated. This is a Predator win whether players like it or not. Myself and many others have had plenty of sore Fireteams thinking they won by camping when several Fireteam members were dead. Although one person may have survived until timer expiration, that doesn’t matter. Fireteam Eliminated means Fireteam Eliminated.

If I play as Pred, killing every Fireteam member is the only way to win.
Everything else is a loss.

I consider it respect to just run. Arnold clearly beat the Jungle Hunter. He didn’t need to bash its head in with the rock (especially since it spared him and gave him a fair shot) after it was already down. Defusing is just adding unnecessary insult to injury. Let the Samurai commit Seppuku and die with some dignity.
