Not meaning to, butt in on this conversation. But I feel like who wins or not or if people bother with the defuse is a moot point. The fact of the matter is that it is still a bug and not a purposeful part of the game. Putting your face in a tree to keep people from shooting your mask is hardly part of the dev’s plans lol. Though I agree that it’s not exactly the highest priority issue they could be looking into. Irritating as it can be when you are looking for the sweet capture.

True, plenty of players on the forums like to try and be fair. (far as I can tell I haven’t been here long, but I ghosted a bit before). Though it might also worsen the problem. Some people that would be willing to cheap out like thus might not have known about it otherwise.

the game does not care what you believe is a win or losing. the rules are set, it doesn’t matter if is by a mile or an inch, winning is winning

FT wins by exfil or securing the body. all other outcomes are a loss

Pred wins by claiming at least one FT and not allowing them to escape or by eliminating the whole FT. all other outcomes are a loss

If both factions lose, it is considered a draw.

is that simple. wether it feels like a win to you, or not. wether it matters to you if you win or you lose, the game doesn’t care. winning is winning.

if you don’t secure the body as FT, the win does not count towards the challenges. if the timer runs out, the win does not count towards the challenges. its been like that since day one.
