Hold onto your butts.

Why should I hold onto my butt? Does someone plan on penetrating it? Oh dear I hope that doesn’t happen again, especially not after the Shrekening last night!

How certain are we that the Thomas brothers have anything to do with this game and its development?

Wouldn’t matter.

It is all future and upcoming content.

Comic books are also shelved till November or “further notice”.

Brothers want all their money relating to their IP and whatever they choose to do with the current is up to them.

They could allow illfonic to keep this game going. But that’s saying they won the court battle.

There won’t be an end anytime soon seeing how long the F13 case is being dragged out and its the EXACT same lawyer that handled the F13 case.

Us as the fans have been deprived by Disney (trickle down what have you, trying not to blame Illfonic yet, since they have no control over their own game), Illfonic as a company has been “so hard at work” on what we is supposed to be, the biggest update to date, for the one year anniversary next week.

Now we won’t ever get a chance to see any of it.

Even if they release it for free, that’s assets that would intice and bring in purchases of the game. Also would be a waste of time if game is chosen to be scrapped.

It’s truly fucking sad and how mishandled everything has been.

From a fan perspective.

Corporations can literally pick and choose what makes them money, which is basically anything, yet us as the consumers like what we like… and we get fucked for it…?

Disney can renegotiate the license, assuming they don’t have a work for hire contract, if they have a work for hire contract then they’ll go to court and likely keep the rights.

The reason F13 took so long is Cunningham couldn’t produce one and Miller wouldn’t settle for whatever Cunningham offered, which he’s entitled to. Even after Miller won, fucking Cunningham appealed.

Can see some equally as shady shit happening with this though.

Both parties know how much of a cash cow this franchise is.

He only won the rights to the first movie and only in North America.
Cunningham via his company horror inc. owns adult Jason but not the Friday name.

Could be messy, I agree there. Technically all derivatives of the original movie will be on hold till the rights issue is solved.

we the people, are the grass that feeds the cash cow.
I speak only for myself when I say that The alien and predator universe is truly one of a kind, and that, in my humble opinion, regardless of ownership, continue to be cared for by the artists, developers, thinkers and writers who spawned this magnificent gem. unless they dont care anymore. in which case, 3 points to disney. After watching the new “Mandalorian” tv show featured on the Disney TV app I have all the faith in the world that Disney would continue the legacy with ease.
THAT BEING SAID.
The videogame that we are all here to play and enjoy needs further work, updates, AXIS/FLIGHTSTICK control and moderation.
I have no knowledge of Disney’s video game team, but as a diehard alien and predator universe fan, I wish that whatever direction the future holds, I just want to be able to slow walk while playing on PC. thats all.
like, the predator sounds like a 20tonne elephant on a rampage through the jungle when youre just walking. COMONNNNN

The outcome will lay somewhere with what transpired when disney bought fox? , considering it wasn’t disney the brothers sold to? Apparently they started this motion as far back as 2016

Plus as far as the update goes? Even if they wanted to post it today? Unless they had it already with Sony to get approved? They won’t have it done on time . Knowing illfonic? They would be trying to fix it until the very last possible second , well thats if they are thorough, I dont think they are

Even if this impacts illfonic and Sony, there would be no reason to not release the anniversary update, even for free. Any future sales of the game as a whole would be much better that way.

Would make sense right… lol

At least we don’t have more than a couple weeks to see how this all plays out.
