Toxic PC crossplay

Just had the worst match imaginable, me on PS4 Pro and the FT all on PC w/ comms.

Right from the start I was verbally insulted pretty much the entire game because the FT expected to just gun down the predator and I refused to leap into the jaws of certain death. I took pot shots here and there when I could but I refused to give the main trash talker the satisfaction of a kill.

I don’t know what recourse we players have but no one needs to be treated to obscene verbal abuse just because they happen to be on opposite sides.

I’ve seen this type of behavior way more often coming from PC players. I assume it’s more of their culture over there.

I think we all sign up to have a clean hard fought match but I don’t understand why people have to make it personal and just talk ridiculous trash to a complete stranger.

I keep hearing this, and I’ve been in this situation so many times since my call of duty days, but I’ve never considered shit talk toxic. Cause toxic is honestly something more serious like an abusive relationship with a partner, family or even friends. Or even a manipulative relationship. Stuff like that is toxic.

But so far I’ve only had good experiences the few times I’ve been in game chat in this game . Which is so different from all the bullshit I’m used to online.

Its not only pc Ft memebers being toxic

Many situations i had where i would play in a lobby with 3 ps4 players and its silence whole match

Then predator plays safe but i can focus to get 20 ai kills and also to shoot pred the whole time and then i down him pretty much all alone like 85% of health and 1 of ft members comes in and finishes them down then they proceed to insult them with their retarded accents lol and teabag the body.
Then when game ends i usualy tell pred some general tips such as dont use trees and hold crouch while in mid air.
Sometimes some people are just fucking jerks its nuts ,not like this overwatch or cod where being super competitive is a thing lol :[

I was administrator on eastern European PIRATE server for cod4 back in the day. You have seen nothing. :D

Eh I encounter the same thing from console players. Pretty sure its just a universal gaming culture. Either way theres a mute button and you can use it. Don’t let them get to you.

I can see a chat symbol come up on my screen when people talk but I never hear anything, got my voice settings on and not muted. However I’m realising there’s no point having it on after reading some people’s posts like yours about toxic players insulting each other… I’ll be happy to take my silence over that shit any day. Lots of warriors hiding behind their internet connects. Anyways, mute and ignore them!

Personally i think you was just very unfortunate to have been matched up to some gaming assholes. it happens in any online voiced game.

I am a PC player and mostly FT Main as i suck at predator lol, but i mute game from voice. I dont need to hear heavy breathing or languages i dont understand or kids screaming. I just try to work as a team in my happy silence and hopefully give the predator a run for his money and enjoyment for the long wait he/she had.

Fought a FT like that yesterday. Worst most disrespectful shit talkers you’ve ever heard. Racist too. It was literally arousing dismantling them. I even told the last and coincidentally loudest guy I would let him reinforce. He didn’t take it well. Called me a “bitchassniggacuntfuckingbitch.” So I shot him and long claimed him. Best. Moment. Ever.

Honestly it has nothing to do with the platform, but the users on it. Toxic/shitty players exist everywhere unfortunately.

you will encounter trash talkers in any multiplayer game you play at some point. if it bothers you, theres an option to mute, ez counter.
