I’ve wondered why they never implemented a tracking system or even like a leaderboard type of thing that would keep track of like matches playes, successful exfils, long and short trophy claims, barrels, etc… basically anything that has a grinding type trophy attached to it. It seems like a common sense thing to me rather than make the player base try to keep track of all these stats.

If you’re specifically talking about the achievements/trophies, I don’t think any of them are so complicated that you need a tracker, unlike some other games. Most relate to things you’ll routinely be doing in each match anyway, and the ones that aren’t have fairly low requirements.
As for the broader stat tracking, I guess it might be nice as a curiosity, but I can see people using things like they kill/death ratio as “evidence” for further complaints about balance etc. Based on statements they’ve made in the past, we know that Illfonic is able to collect such data from the back-end, which is what they’re using to base their balance tweaks on, more than the complaints of a small but highly vocal number of players.
Basically, if people behave themselves we can have nice things. If we can’t, you know who to blame.
While the general totals are somewhat low for the trophies, some are also quite bugged. For example the boom trophy for 250 barrels, I blew up at least 600 of them before the trophy finally popped and being able to actually see how far you’ve traveled in trees as a predator or how many claims you’ve had would just be more user friendly and/or a matter of convenience for the player
Can’t argue with that. If it’s a choice between those things are the team focusing on substantial new content I’m going to take the latter every time though.
I think this would be superfluous because the tracking system in various matches or games is unnecessary. It is mandatory on the multiple platforms through which people order things or goods.

Private matches would need to be excluded, obviously.
