Traps are for the skill less

Change my mind.

First, you need to present an argument as to why traps are for the skill less as you put it.

They take no skill to use and if you need ur prey to stand still the cleary they are a bad Pred player

Em, perhaps if the FT is blind, if you throw them randomly those are very visible. Traps can be used to zone an area (against decent players). So you attack someone and he can’t run in a direction or other players can’t get to him, to help. That or when making an escape (second wind or whatever) to booby trap the area where you’re running trough.

Always knife rules them all

Traps are supposed to be a strategical tool, not an offense weapon. They’re great for forcing FT into choke points, for covering your back while healing, and the primary function is to cause some slight damage and reduce movement speed for a period.

Relying on them as part of your main strat would indicate a lack of skill, so I half agree with the statement.

Its just al the Predator players i see use them will stand in the trees pull them out and try to throw them directly at us. Lack of skill is my only way of thinking

Yeah the way most preds use traps is really fucking dumb, but thats because the game doesnt reward pred from placing traps preemptively unless he finds the radio. So unfortunately not much can be done about that.

The one I despise the most is trapping a downed player. The player is going to be vulnerable anyway when reviving the downed player, so I don’t quite understand the need to trap them.

The traps aren’t totally broken. They just need to be destructible. They could even use the exact same code as the disk health. Copy and paste, fixed.

I agree, they need to be breakable.

But they need to lose their invisibility, as well as the sound they make. Its not practical, and despite preds being all about technology advantage, I doubt they would ever waste their time with that.

They also should be retreivable if not tripped. Especially since you only get 3-4 of them max and tbh they arent that useful.

Weeb incoming 🤣

You’ve said nothing to prove your point.
But if you wanna go by that logic, all ft has to do, is look in a direction, and hold a button.

Yes, tremendous amount of skill there.

You even have a perk that detects then automatically if I am not mistaken.

You despise using them when tactically speaking, it’s a good time to do so?

Stay the fk off pred then -_-

yeah but that doesnt do you any good when pred throws them directly onto you, which is what OP is trying to get at. Using them offensively like that is a very dumb tactic.

Everyone always loves to bitch about something pred has xD.

Since the shoulder caster stopped being a 1 shot down, you can no longer reliably down an FT before they pull off the revive.

I don’t understand trapping an already potential trap. A downed player is itself a fucking trap, any player reviving a downed player is in the same vulnerable state as if he were trapped…seems like a waste of a trap, and a dick move.
