I hear two different things. I hear it doesn’t matter if you shoot them…dead pigs can still be consumed for energy. I’ve also heard this guy review patch 1.08 saying you can’t consume them.

Dead pigs can be used by the Predator even if they themselves didn’t kill them. Not sure if that’s intentional or not but I’ve not ran into any issues to the point I’ve found fireteams making it a point not to kill them so the Predator doesn’t get a free health pickup. They’ll show up on the map regardless.
