Hope.

We are getting the katana tomorrow and THATS IT.

Anything or anything people have talked about regarding leaks are just “leaks”.

We arent getting the content we want, we arent getting new maps and we arent getting a 2 v 10 (they cant even balance a 1 v 4).

No wonder IllFonic doesnt do any marketing, peoples hope and drive for this game alone gives it the foundation that it will have for as long as that may go. Surely isnt content.

I want to eat my own words, but its Illfonic we are talking about here. Bread crumbs all along the way untill some sort of debacle “interrupts as usual business”

I have no more expectation, no more hope for this game, they are feeding us exactly what THEY want and it will never cater to the more than average gamers (myself included)

Juat sad I’m realizing this now…

Deluxe $80 bucks
Dutch $7
Samurai $6

There is NO way in hell we are getting maps especially if they have only dropped characters as MAJOR DLC, which is barbaric.

I’m all outta hope at this point.

they also told that kind of thing for friday the 13 . For exemple they teased the paranoia mod for over 4 month to at the end never realise anything (meanwhile we got 2 other cosmetic dlc during those 4 month)
i’m pretty sure this game will end the same way after 1 or 2 other useless dlc
we got a samourai predator lets had a viking and a knight LOL

My only let down is how they have told us “with free updates comes maps weapons and game modes” weve had 2 so far with ONLY weapons…

Its just unfortunate for me due to having such high Hope’s that they would deliver on thenmapa and game modes.

Dare I get excited for a random drop tomorrow?

Or do I just follow in line with how illfonic wants to drop this game? Guess I dont really have a choice at the matter… lol

illfonic is not responsible for making decisions about Friday the 13th, they were the Devs, not the Publisher on that game. They did the coding but were just contract workers.
Paranoia was cancelled by Gun Media, pre-lawsuit. The reason given, is that it wasn’t fun.

I think they can, the thing about Paranoia is I don’t think it actually made it to play testing or that when it did first get tested with assets, the balance was completely one sided.
I’d still like to see whatever they did get built and mess with it.

I would enjoy “packs”.

Instead of releasing what has been more or less “skins” 1 at a time, to me feels like a huge stretch and a severe undertaking of the capabilities of this company.

What they chose to release (on their own time with these free updates) is practically what A TON OF PEOPLE want.

I would throw money at a “MAP PACK”, I would throw money at a “cosmetic pack”.

Only offering individual “reskin” purchases and then shooting themselves in the foot by saying the free content people actually want (will be released at an undisclosed future date) has me hopeless.

Also a ton of other folks that have bought the deluxe edition as well as each paid that has dropped so far.

Whoever is at their DLC lead on the team needs to turn their schedule upside down and actually listen to the community of players keeping their game alive.

Understandable. It’s still a fun game despite it’s flaws. We all want more and we all see so much damn potential that it gets frustrating. Maybe slower than anyone would like but it’s still moving in the right direction.

If that means we get them in a reasonable amount of time, yep. That’s how they get folks to keep playing their game. Give them a golden carrot to chase. I’m done chasing lol

I am not willing to aimlessly sit here and have a neverending stream of hope thinking they are going to drop something.

Well written man. Really. I feel your hurt and hope for the best of this franchise and I have so much toxicity to lash out at this game, but you are doing well speaking it constructively here.

I may be a provocateur at some points, but damn I have voiced a ton of collective opinion I share with a bunch of folk from this very community and it gets shrouded by the “players that just got the game and have a million things to say”, “people disagree with everything so we will never actually get to an end”.

I am here to see this game succeed and hence why I joined my first forum in nearly over 15 years.

Its folk like yourself (@Mushimushi ) and a handful of others, that make it a pleasure to talk/discuss on sites like this.

Despite me not having anymore hope, I do hope I eat my words and we get the game we ALL want.
