Unknown game mechanics, bug or cheat?

In a recent game we destroyed the disc of the predator and shortly after that even the message -stating that the predator is down- came up (it seemed to me, that he was downed by the AI). Just 2 seconds later, the predator re-appeared attacking us WITH THE DISC.

Please tell me, is that possible without a cheat? Any known bug or even a game mechanics, which is unknown to me?

My understanding was: disc destroyed means no disc then and predator down means no predator then. Am I wrong?

By the way, this was a pure PS4 game - if one can still trust this…

I do know that when the AI downs the pred it gives the pred the heal option. Regardless if his 2nd wind is available or not of course sometimes it just kills him and doesn’t giv him a bomb option

As for the disc I’d assume that was just an server error sometimes when I throw my stick if I just get 2nd winded later I just get the stick back
