Even if the movie isn’t good, there’s gonna be at least a bit of a resurgence of the player-base for a month or two after Prey comes out. Illfonic will of course capitalize on this potential windfall of money just dropping into their lap by not bothering to fix bugs or balance or anything prior to the movie’s release, thereby ensuring they don’t retain players long enough for them to drop much money in the game.

I think field medic should be standard revive time with the additional health boost it provides now. That’s always what it should have been IMO. Not this horse shit boop on the nose instant revive with more health and team damage reduction. What the ever loving fuck.

That would turn it on another useless specialization like Comms, Rushdown.
I would just set a limit for fast revives. Like 3. After that it would take nornal time.

Along those lines, they could make all revive times 4 seconds, but Field Medic would heal 75 HP in addition to the standard health after a revive. That would be fair, I think.

I personally always thought it’d be better with reduced speed and completely remove the increased health. They already have the damage reduction from the Support anyway

Well I don’t know exactly how fast it picks up but it should take longer, and the increased health shouldn’t even be a thing, so it would quite literally just function as a faster revive.

Standard revive speed is about 5 seconds, FM is about 2-3 seconds, FM with dexterous is about 1.5 seconds. I’ve always been in the camp that FM shouldn’t revive people faster but instead give more health back to downed players. This way the pred has a bit more of a chance to inflict damage instead of both high revive speed and extra health. Makes no sense why they’ve never touched this spec especially with Dante.

To add to this, maybe they could change FM so that normally when you pick someone up they’ll get back up with full health however it’s at the standard revive time.

Could also have a small perk to to it as well, for example a FM would be able to give a revived teammate 25 extra points of health as armor that cannot be replenished with healing. FM would only have 3 of these charges in one life that is shared amongst all FM in a squad to prevent teams of FM from abusing the system.

Should there be two FM in a squad, and one dies and is brought back, the total number of charges would stay the same unless both FM had died and been brought back, then it would replenish back to 3.

That would be a good idea for a new class and specialization, while swapping support’s passive damage protection for the original “less damage from explosives” passive.
