What? There was no any info about that. Yes, predator franchise has some issues with copyright but that shouldn’t affect PHG(unfortunately). Give a link to the source than or stop spread disinformation

My gut tells me we will get an update but there won’t be much asides from getting a final send off.
But not much more will be promised.That the lawsuit will actually make matters worse for releasing original content (which thus nullifies any hope for the game until 2023).
Something tells me this would have happened anyway, with or without the lawsuit. What are two guys at a coffee table going to do? Its not like them two are the equivalent to Elon Musk.
Maybe the franchise had run out of investors and are losing money.\ and Disney doesnt want to admit it.
Do anybody even read what they write? Yes, there is a lawsuit to reacquire the copyright of the Predator. And that’s all what it means: REACQUIRE!
Right now the copyright is owned by Disney/20th Century Fox and if they lose the lawsuit it only becomes effective after that. The lawsuit will not have retroactive effects so the game franchise will not be affected cause it’s been legitimaly explored by the current owner of the rights. The worst that can happen is that future income from purchases of the game or DLC’s must be shared with the original sreenwriters, if they win the lawsuit.

true that. It wont effect existing product. only new product.which has more to do with the upcoming film right for Skulls.
To me PHG is existing product. even its little DLC children are part of the existing product. Can’t sell one without the other.
I think it will only matter IF the bros attain the IP rights (if and when). Right now, legally, Illfonic can continue do whatever is contractually agreed upon.
I hate that we don’t find out until the very last second.

Your looking at Tuesday. It’s bad but it’s a lot better than we thought.
May 27th is when the actual court date is meaning that should anything release it for sure has to be before then. Should the court rule in Disney’s favor then we don’t loose anything until 2023 and being realistic the game was never meant to go that long anyways.
Basically whatever they had planned for the Anniversary can still come out since the countersuit delayed the changeover and if the court rules in Disney’s favor Illfonic can support the title until the official changeover happens.
