Not sure if anyone has ever felt like this, but I feel like the characters we plays as barely say anything at all. Like they have no reaction when a character dies or when the Predator gets first spotted in the game really. I was coming up with just slight dialogue that would occur at specific points in the game. Here’s a few
(ONE Fireteam member is dead)
“FUCK WE ARE A MAN DOWN!”
“NOOOOOOO!!!”
“YOU ARE GOING TO FUCKING PAY FOR THAT”
“Ack* He/She’s dead…Rest in Peace Friend…”
(TWO Fireteam members are dead)
“COMMANDER WE NEED REINFORCEMENTS RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!”
“FUCKING FUCK…Sigh* looks like we’re all that’s left.”
(THREE Fireteam members are dead.)
“I’m all that’s left…”
“Sir if you can hear me…it’s been a pleasure working with you, but it doesn’t look like I’m gonna make it.”
(Fireteam hears the Predators cackle for the first time)
“What the hell is that?”
“Not sure what kind of animal that is. Doesn’t sound friendly”
“There’s something watching us…I can feel it”
“That ain’t no man”
(Fireteam member spots Predator for the first time)
(Can possibly depend on where the Predator is physically located. Ground, roof, tree etc…)
“What…the…fuck is that.“
“ENEMY SNIPER IN THE TREE UP TH…wait what?“
“ENEMY SNIPER ON THE ROO…what the fuck…”
“ENEMY SPOTTED OVER THERE…Wait thats not human.”
“GAH WHAT ARE YOU?!?!”
(Fireteam does slight damage to the Predator)
“ITS HIT!”
“IT FELT THAT FOR SURE”
“TAKE THAT YOU SON OF A BITCH”
(Fireteam does moderate damage to the Predator)
HAAHAAA THATS GONNA LEAVE A MARK”
“ITS HURT PRETTY BAD”
“YOU WENT AFTER THE WRONG FIRETEAM ASSHOLE”
(Fireteam does tremendous damage to Predator)
“HOW’D THAT FUCKING FEEL!!”
“ITS ALMOST DOWN FOCUS FIRE!!”
“OH HAHAAHA IT DIDINT LIKE THAT ONE BIT”
(Fireteam downs Predator while arming nuke)
“ITS DOWN SHOOT THE FUCK OUT OF IT”
“ITS ALMOST DEAD”
“THIS IS IT”
“JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE”
(Fireteam kills Predator before nuke is armed)
“WOOHOO!!!”
“I don’t paid enough for this shit”
“Ugh it’s finally over”
“What the hell are you?”
“10 bucks says they’ll wipe our memory after this”
“EAT…SHIT ASSHOLE!!!”
(Predator arms nuke and fireteam either runs or disarms it)
“Uhhhh I think that means run”
“WAIT WAIT WAIT I GOT THIS”
“I sure hope someone paid attention in OWLF 101”
(Fireteam member who disarms Nuke)
“Holy shit…phew…”
“I need a fucking drink”
“It’s okay fuckers I did it”
“Honestly I just started pressing buttons…”
(This is specifically for the LAST surviving member of the Fireteam)
Fireteam member will breathe heavily as well as tremble pretty consistently*
They will also mutter things under their breath like
“I’m done for…”
“It’s watching me I can feel it”
“Come after me you son of a bitch”
“KILL ME COME ONN IM RIGHT HERE!!!”
“This is it”
“Just remember your training”
Okay that’s all I could really think of when it comes to little idle chatter from the fireteam. I know it’s a lot but I think it’d enhance the situations a little more. Make the fireteam more lively.
Now for the last little idea is the music during fights with the Predator and the music when the Predator is known to be in the area (meaning after it’s been spotted but hasn’t attacked yet)
I feel like if the Predator has been spotted and is NOT attacking. The main iconic theme of the Predator should play until either Predator attacks or hasn’t been spotted again in 1 minute.
As for if the Predator HAS attacked. I’m not quite sure how to explain this but if anyone knows what I’m talking about, that really heavy, intense part of the Predator theme should play on repeat til either the Predator gets killed or retreats away for 1 minute.
