I monitor a lot of the Q lunatics and Trump zealots on Twitter, and this was entirely predictable. They’ve openly been talking about this kind of action since they lost the election.

Even I was surprised though by how little effort the Police put into stopping them… but then again the mob was made up of stupid hicks and white fascists. Had it been BLM you can bet the full armoury and assault weapons would have been out in force. Instead they get to casually walk out after attempting an insurrection:

What the media is trying to say here is that “peaceful protests” are fine and very effective tool when utilised by the uniparty and their useful idiots setting dumpster fires and looting, but it’s never acceptable for you to use it against them. Burn down your own cities instead.

Peaceful protesters are fine, protest is a first amendment right. I have no issue with the people who stayed in the streets and waved signs.

Attempting to interfere in the political process by breaking into congress, isn’t peaceful or protest.

Note: Before I actually comment let me be clear that I do not condone the events in Washington. When the fine line between peaceful protest and riot is crossed, peaceful protest ends along side riot.

That being said the riots over the summer instigated by BLM caused way more damage to America than tonight. Also, an unarmed protestor was shot and killed by capitol police tonight, completely unprovoked. An airforce veteran from the San Diego area. I don’t remember police firing live ammo at protestors all year…they did this time though. So I don’t really think that whole “imagine if they were black” shit holds water.

So imagine for just a second that maybe, condoning and allowing “civil unrest” for one cause might actually embolden others? Also…try for a moment to conceptualize the fact that not everyone to the right of the political spectrum is a Qanon white Supremacy whack job. Lastly, try evenly applying your perspective to the issue and not the underlying politics of the matter?

I don’t condone the BLM riots. Peaceful protest is fine, but when it descends into looting or trying to storm buildings to overthrow a legitimate democratic election it’s a different matter. The woman shot had broken into a government building - I thought the Right was always banging on about their right to shoot people breaking into their property? I’m sure had it been a left-wing protestor the reaction from the right would have been the same?

As for damage to America, well the past 4 years of this regime has done more damage to the democratic fabric and status of the country than riots about Police murdering a disproportionate amount of Black people. And there are plenty of images out there of the Police’s response to BLM protesters which contrast nicely with the way the Police acted in Washington.

As for the claim that not everyone to the right of the political spectrum is a Qanon wack job and white supremacist, well I’m afraid if you supported Trump then you might as well be, as he’s shown he’s more than happy to cosey up to these groups and speak their language if it benefits his ego and attempts to retain power.

There was a time when the Republican party held values which (although I might disagree with some of them) were entirely reasonable, but their craven deference to a man who was, from the start, known to be a lying, vainglorious, amoral, moronic, proto-fascist authoritarian wannabe has stripped them of all credibility and claims to the moral high ground.

So we’re okay with deadly force used in crowd control of civil unrest? Cuz I’m pretty sure if that’s the case the body count would be a lot higher over the summer. The “well the other side was okay with it” mentality is exactly what got us here, cuz the way I see it the Trump supporters got some catching up to do to reach the damage done to Minneapolis.

Non lethal crowd control vs lethal force. We really making that comparison? Bullshit. Police reacted the same way in Washington they have everywhere all 2020. They simply didn’t deploy the numbers to properly counter the unrest. Why I don’t know, whoever was i charge of capitol security planning for the day should absolutely be fired, but they still used mace, tear gas and again, like I said, escalated to lethal rounds, the same line drawn between civil unrest and riots is the same line between crowd control and lethal force.

Bullshit, again this mentality is the problem. That make you no better than the CHAZ occupants who shot a kid in a stolen car earlier this year or the antifa guy who targeted and murdered a man for being a conservative. This mentality will lead to more dead and more destruction. Feel free to have it, don’t be surprised or upset when others share it on the other side then or the consequences of it.

This not only applies both ways as well, it’s utter bullshit. Politicians are bottom feeding opportunists who drive division to garner support and voters. Been that way as long as I’ve been alive. You give one side a pass because your beliefs align with them, and discredit any news to the contrary because you don’t like the source. Pelosi fucking stalled the relief act for political points, members of congress have openly supported riots until yesterday, and Republican members of congress have literally been assaulted (Rand Paul, Steve Scalise) over the last four years but Trump’s to blame?

Bullshit. Call it fair or fuck off with the nonsense because it just fuels the fire and eventually at this rate it ain’t gonna be Proud Boys vs. Antifa for much longer.

There’s a few points I could counter or argue there, but frankly I see little point in doing that here. We’ll just be going back and forth and wasting each other’s time. Fundamentally, and like I said, it was obvious what Trump was from the start - he advertised his opinions, behaviour and ignorance when running for office, and there’s copious amounts of evidence of his corruption and lies. If you still managed to support this man through 4yrs of his bile, bullshit and insanity then that’s for you to reckon with.

For all the BS the left has rightly got called out for over the years, they’ve yet to produce a demagogue anywhere near as loathsome or dangerous as Trump.

Yeah, you knew what you had with Trump, knew where he stood for real and could smell the bullshit from the roses. Unlike career politicians who haven’t been honest a day in their life which i think is the greater of two evils.

Friend of mine and I got into the discussion, and he basically made the point that he didn’t feel Trump was racist, but he definitely brought out racism in people. I said that was a good thing, because then they’re right out in front where you can see them, identify them, and know them for what they really are, instead of never knowing they were a threat.

So yeah, I’ll accept Trump for what he is, do the same for Biden and the Democrats. Hunter is under investigation btw…has been since 2018, for that laptop everyone claimed was a hoax. Watch how fast that disappears then tell me old Joe is any better.

I was going to have to remind you that governments aren’t people and street cops don’t use lethal rounds & a guy ran into the white house with a knife last year without getting shot in the back of the neck but @Cadillackid took care of it already. There’s a sort of irony of people bitching about facism and then the government shoots someone and it becomes a “well you wouldnt care if it was BLM” thing instead. I’m sure its exactly the response they want, more racebaiting instead of anything affecting the status quo.
