Waiting over 45 minutes for a single game as Pred...

I will say, it happens more times than not (so if this doesn’t happen to you you’re lucky).

Time and time again, weather it be a combination of people RAGE QUITTING out of pre game lobbies, infinite connecting bug or just simply put, not playable… there is a HUGE expectation for people to wait as the predator, even if they have waited the “estimated wait time” MULTIPLE TIMES and still have an entire lobby empty out on them. (RAGE QUIT)

Is there going to be anything done to assist in predator players to be able to not rely on the good faith of other players (which is non existent) to simply experience this game as the Predator?

Removing ft ability to leave pre game lobbies?

Solo mode so Predators can have a glimmer of hope they can play the role without having to wait in line… over and over again.

A ton of predator players (ones that simply want a crack at the role after playing FT for so long due to the already huge wait times) are confused why it’s such a struggle to be able to play as this role (Yes not everyone experiences this, but it is latge enough that there should be something said about it).

Are you aware Predator players sometimes wait up to 30 / 45 minutes after multiple attempts and suggested fixes from your end?

Is there simply not enough players to populate the game anymore?

Think the community would love some feedback from you guys on this…

When I queue up as Pred, if I don’t connect first time, I restart the queue and it seems to work that way for me.

As mentioned above, this is time and time again of restarting the queue.

I just watched my buddy requeue for 30 minutes, landed in a full lobby of FT, they rage quitted. He was frustrated about it and I completely sympathize due to me experiencing the same thing.

So for Predator players that run into this, what are they supposed to do?

Have faith people won’t leave and just hope they land in a game?

Imagine working your ass off at a job and wanting to unwind playing your favorite predator game, when you can’t actively be the role, even if you wait your turn, time and time again, requeue after requeue, you end up frustrated and you haven’t even got to play as Predator.

Seems dumb when you have a “choice” in roles.

I still think low player count is the main issue. Lobby fear quits wouldn’t matter with a million active players and 1 minute wait times for pred.

This is not a good idea

I get that it’s frustrating but so is playing with small children and others who only got in the OWLF because their uncle is a pencil pusher there

It makes sense.

Just wondering if Illfonic and their team are aware of this.

Wouldn’t mind hearing some form of support in regards to any acknowledgement in how poor this matchmaking experience is for a large portion of the player base.

Yeah for me i have to wait like 20min max cause im in EU and 70% of players are probably US… so even if i get a match i always get placed in US lobby lol… with like 96-144ms ping and i always like lag n shit when i move and shoot… well not lag its like this delay…

Also this would be fine if the matches actually took 15-30min to complete n shit lol instead like 3 min and upto 5 min… but yeah the objectives need to actually take 10 min minimum and you cant like bypass it to speedrun it or predict it, should be random too

for me if u ask me the match should be made to last 30 minutes… heli should be called manually and not by going to the spot, you will need like entire team to go to the exfil point… if only like two come the exfil wont happen to prevent from trolls just ending a match n stuff… being a fireteam is all about sticking as a team and doing shit as a team lol.

so 10-15 min of pure objective time and then the rest can be either decided to go hunt for predator or like exfil

Damn. Sorry to hear about this. I can’t say that I really ever wait over 10 min. Probably 7 min average wait. A lot of 5-6 min queues.

I’m currently in Texas with fiber internet, so maybe I can find matches more efficiently. I don’t know. It sucks to hear that many people are having extreme wait times.

This game is more friend related forcing us to take turns instead of playing with randos or else we would all have matches even if people rage quit, maybe put in a specter mode where F.T can move their camera around the map but not speak because he will give Pred location away

That won’t work because 3rd party, but you could set it 15 to 30 seconds behind.

it does take a while to find a game. and one of my topics i made talks about how predator needs buffed. so when you finally get a game, its way to quick to die. the pred games are way too short. and when i do get into a predator match i die because (the predator needs buffed in my opinion)

We are living update to update. Whenever the next one hits, people will start playing more again. Two month is a long wait, plus more bugs, exploits, cheating doesn’t help. It is what it is

I usually find matches randomly with 5-15 minutes, if I’m unlucky it’ll take multiple retries of 15 min and even then it’ll be empty lobbies.

I had a match yesterday where there were only 3 ft there and 2 with mics. As the match was right about to start they both just said “we don’t have a fourth let’s just leave” and left me with a potato that didn’t know what to do but to try and shoot me no matter how much I tried to help.

Funny, I play on PS5 and I don’t seem to have that issue. Yeah people’ll leave and things, but I usually wait a maximum of 8 minutes for a match and a minimum of like 4 minutes for a match. Even if I have to requeue it’s like 15 minutes in total, which is a decent amount of time but no where near 45. Do you have crossplay turned off by any chance? That seems to shoot the pred queues up a lot.

I’m in the US and for me that is considered good ping.
