Waiting time to play as THE PREDATOR increasing more and more!

The waiting time to play as the predator has always been longer than Fireteam’s, and that makes sense cuz there is only one predator per game, so, many players wanting to play as the predator have to wait more.

But I think (at least in my region) that the difference is increasing substantially day after day.
Today, for example, the predator’s is 8 times longer than Fireteam’s. It used to be 6 times. Too much patience is required to play as the predator (sometimes it takes 15 min for me to finally play a game)
Matchmaking for the Fireteam is the opposite.

I don’t know if i’m exagerating, but I believe that this might lead to a great problem soon.
I’m not waiting 15 min anymore to have 8 to 10 min of gameplay. I’m done with this

The predator is my main, and I bought this game because of this character, but it’s so disappointing that I have to waste so much precious time of my busy life just waiting for a game to start, just to play a few minutes before returning to main screen.

There’s no single player campaing, no other game mode that requires more predator players.
If they don’t make this game better and start selling it more I’m afraid many will abandon it, making this wait even longer. I hope i’m wrong!

Look.

If you’re still able to get actual game’s as Predator - even at a 15 minute wait - please find it in yourself to not complain this much. There are some of us, myself included that wait up to 40minutes+ now (empty lobby wait times included) and still don’t get a match after that.
It’s nearing impossible for some of us.

If it’s 15minutes but you’re absolutely getting a game - here’s an idea.
Use that time and do something else!
I’ve been working out in the meantime/doing housework/drawing/etc

Illfonic will get on it, just be a little more patient ~

Wait times 16mins games last 3mins… 2:30if you don’t count the head collecting part 😏

The issue is that as the game is out, more people get the game, and everyone wants to play the predator. It is how it is. If you don’t want to wait, just do a private match with friends, or just by yourself. They should have it so that the ai spawns just like if there was a fireteam, so that there would be more to kill, but its always an option.

The times have nothing to do with people want to play predator but the servers not working as intended. That problem is solemnly on Illfonic, period.

Wow! Did I offend you?
I was just giving my opinon about the growing difference between predator and fireteam waiting times and the big impact on future queues for playing as the predator

I wasn’t complaining to nobody!
Calm down! I said … “IN MY REGION!!”
I had no idea that other players around the globe could be facing something worse.
That’s why I opened a new topic so we can peacefuly discuss about it.
Let’s hope more players join in the following weeks or a new mode is created (one that can have more than one predator)

But like I said, I’ve got so little time to play (I work all day) and that’s why i’m not waiting that long. But I hope things to normalize.
I’m sorry if you wait that much. If I was in your place I wouldn’t even try, I would play another game.

TOTALLY AGREE, I didn’t spend $60 on a game to both not be able to use my pre-order bonus skin AND not be able to play the character I bought the game FOR once during a stream… hella hard to recommend the game rn due to the balance issues, bugs, and optimization issues

No you didnt offend me, I just setting the record straight on why we have these abysmal queue times. You are entitle to your opinion and I appreciate it. However, I also remember Evolve (another disaster) where everybody wanted to play monsters and they wasn’t 10-30mins wait times either. Take a deep breath dude Oosa

Ign gave a score of 5 (mediocre) to this game. I hope it doesn’t affect sales. We need more players i think. I’m suffering here like you guys cuz I want so bad to be better with the predator but games are hard to get started.

In this situation we have only 2 options

  • we go to private match alone (or invite our friends)
  • we play as the fireteam (it starts quickly)

The main character suffer in this game in all ways!

no matchmaking is broken it has nothing to do with player base , i get into empty lobbies as fireteam

Lvl 62 and only used predator , never played with fireteam , longest time I had was 16 min .
