the actual code for matchmaking is broken dumbass , sorry to be that asshole but i am. I que for FT by myself and get empty rooms, if i que for pred i get infinite time limit in que and never get pred mean while i have ppl on my list that get in after 1min so tell me again how its the player base causing this , not to mention playing the same 20 some ppl over the past 4 days i should never run back into a player.
Waiting time to play as THE PREDATOR increasing more and more!
It’s definitely the server mate. They had the same issues in Beta.
The big problem is, the servers can only run so many games at once. The wait times are more than likely from throttled amounts of concurant games being played. The reason FT get in quickly is because there’s 4 spaces per game for an FT, while there’s one for a Pred. If 4 FT get in at one time, then the next 4 in line ar eplaced after that. On the other hand, if I’m 12th in a line of pred games to be matched to a played match lobby, I need to wait for 11 games to complete before I’m aloud into my lobby.

It might be a region thing… i think. I tend to wait no longer than 5 minutes before i get a game as a pred, and i havnt waited longer than a minute for a fireteam since day one. With everyone having so many problems it must be a regional playerbase issue or something :/ i dunno
To be honest what do you expect. Almost everyone wants to play the pred. So the waiting time for a Marinex5 is at least the waiting time for the pred. It can not be changed by the developers.This is mathematic. The only way to change this is to get more people wanting to play the marines.

Guys, yesterday I played 3 hours straigh.
The average matchmaking time for the predator was 5 minutes!
I’m glad I got to play the game a lot.

Germany and i agree on these timings. I play on PC and while waiting for a match i do some other things. No Problem for me. Ofcourse when i play as fireteam the waiting time is not even a minute. But like i said in another post. The waiting time is mathematical normal to be 5x times for the predator than the marines. Maybe Illfonic could make some system like, you move up the ladder if you had a fireteam match just before. So no FIFO anymore. But i guess all it needs is more marineplayers. To achieve this, it needs more variety and missions, rewards and so on.

yeah. We talk so much about the predator ( he need to be buffed a lot for sure! )
but new missions for fireteam, new game modes would also be welcoming.
decreasing FT’s number of players to 3 might be an option too
not really decrease their number to 3 but perhaps increase the cooldown for some ability like the spot or the respawn, no need to remove them, just a long cooldown for stop abusing of it
personnal record: being spotted 14 time in 30 second (playing against four ranger ain’t fun)
yeahh, there are so many ways to fix this game.
The " reduce the number of ft players to 3 " I meant to lower the matchmaking time for the predator, not for the sake of balance.
yeah i see it but because of the predator strengh its probably to keep it at four its hard for me to lose against a team of 3 (expect against full ranger, just pray that you have a solid mask and that you play berserker)

Played few matches today.
All FT queues took less than 1 minute, usually around 30 seconds.
Tried 2 games as Pred.
One took 16 minutes, empty lobby for 5 minutes, I left it and requeued as FT.
Few rounds later, 18 minutes for lobby as Pred… empty.
EU, PC.
No preference should be like Friday 13th and preference should be like DBDL. Simple.
Separates the player base but everyone wants to play predator without playing fireteam. At least no preference players get to experience the full game without just enabling others to play as predator. Also have a 15 min ban for any1 who leaves no preference lobbies (ppl who hope they got pred but didn’t)
FT’s waiting time is normal in your region.
But PRED’s not. strange!
