Im just curious as to why we have to wait for several minutes sometimes to get into a game? Especially if you want to be the predator?
Is it that there’s not enough people playing or too many waiting to do the same thing and it’s queued up?
FT doesn’t seem to take longer than a minute most of the time so there’s definitely enough people wanting to play as the FT so if this is the case why does it take so long to be the predator?
Is there potentially an easy fix for them to implement?

Unfortunately I don’t belive there is an easy fix for this. Predator queues are so long because there are more people trying to play Predator than there are fireteam members, so there are not enough fireteam players to go around for every Predator, thus the Predator has to wait their turn (this is also why fireteam queues are so short, as fireteam members are constantly needed to fill games). The only way I can think of to help this issue would be to add fireteam bots so that a Predator can choose to play against bots instead of waiting. Realistically the only way this issue will ever be fully resolved is of 80% of the player base consistently queues for fireteam and 20% queue Predator, and that is not likely to happen.

My idea: couldn’t they add a new option where 5 people go in and it randomly picks one of the 5 to be the predator?
At the end of the game it doesn’t kick you out to start again like it does now you stay in the lobby and let’s say the person who killed or hit the predator most then gets to be the predator or something along those lines. If a player leaves then I’d bet if would fill quite quickly.
There must be a way to get around this if people are willing to be randomly selected rather than choosing specifically what they want to do.
The way the game works is the same as fri13th is it? I really struggle to get into that game these days and I really don’t want the same to happen to this game. If it does we have no game to play.
I’m not sure if this is what happens if you have enough friends to invite and play with as none of mine have it so I’m stuck waiting as it is now.
I guess what I’m getting to is please do something about it as the game does have a fan base and it would be a shame to let this die in a year.
Personally I think having randomized lobbies is a great idea and would in fact be the most fair way to run things, but unfortunately I doubt that idea would fly with those that exclusively play as Predator. A lot of people do not seem to be willing to compromise.
somethings broke on the back end i think server wise. because sometimes 2 other ft dont even load in. i dont even bother with publics searching as a pred. and im bored of fireteam being almost level 90 so you know? game isnt shelved but might as well be in its current state of how things are lol
I hear you. I’m level 100 myself and main fireteam, but I still manage to find ways to make fun. Currently I’m trying to see how many times in a row I can kill the Pred. This game clearly needs more content otherwise most people will shelve it soon enough.

back out and refresh should take less than 10 minutes to find a lobby. i wouldnt even wait past 8 minutes. its why i gave up bothering to play pred in public lobbies

i feel you, i have to wait a long time sometimes for pred but i dont like the idea of random or forcing you to do something.
If it was random and you dont ever play pred and dont like it, and it gives you predator randomly then the other team probably wont have a good challange or maybe the player just quits ruining the match.
I play fireteam sometimes but i do mainly play predator. and the price i pay for that is that i have 4x less games than everyone else.
The best way to do it is to find people, add friends and you will find some who dont even like playing pred, some prefer to play fireteam and they will let you play pred 2-3 times in a row before swapping, especially if you give them a good game.
So while i feel your pain, i just dont think forcing anyone to do something is the right approach.
In that case we could have an option to pass the predator to someone who wants it if the person randomly chosen prefers not to.
They need more incentives to play FT in order to get more people playing FT.
Having the option to que as predator has resulted in long que times for predator AND turned the no preference que into basically a FT que.
They should allow people who play FT 4 times to get a predator que line skip.
This would help everyone because even Predator mains who never touch FT would have many more people queing as FT for them to play against.
Those who play both FT and Predator would spend less times in que and more times in games if they are willing to jump in as FT here and there.
LOL bump in now as the Predator… waiting times reduced to 4-5 minutes max… free trial effect I suppose
Whatever they do, they better not force people to play random and not be able to pick predator/FT.
I wonder how many people will flat out quit games if they don’t get to play what they want.
This is an asymmetric game, you should know that if you’ve played a round, and there is your answer.
