I believe CH’s clan were considered to be some semblance of loners and JH was a part of his own clan, with the Lost Tribe being an offshoot of JH’s tribe. But don’t quote me.

Well spotted - this one is called Scout Predator. He was equipped in armour set very similar (if not identical) to City Hunter but lacked net meshing on his chest and the helmet he is wearing is NOT the same identical one from Jungle Hunter - it lacks the bullet marks. So a different helmet of almost identical shape.
As to clan membership - it is established in lore that Jungle Hunter and City Hunter are members of two different clans. Lost Tribe (also known as Los Angeles hunting party) is more of a misfits association with some Jungle Hunter clan members in it (Elder for example) and others, representatives of never before seen clans - like the Lost Predator(aka Borg) with his super advanced high tech armour (Christ one knows where did they find this guy)

Yeah greyback(elder) has jh style armor so could’ve been before he made the lost tribe and borg I’d assume was from the dark blade clan since they are a clan with higher tech than other clans if I remember correctly, like Scarface in concrete jungle and the dark blade armor looked high tech.

I can step in and give my opinion, short answer is that CH’s tribe being the Lost Tribe has no attachments or affiliations with the Jungle Hunter Clan. Jungle Hunters Clan is a lot different though the two most likely of members like the Scout (who’s in the picture) and Elder might have been in the JH Clan due to their mask or armor, however this is false for they just have the armor or helmet possibly as a common armor type.
JH’s Clan is very strict when taking in others for their honor code is followed to the letter, they are like the poster boys on Yautja Prime. As for the Lost Tribe, their not as strict and as far as I can tell Elder or known as Golden Angel picks and chooses his crew. Anyone who served in the Lost Tribe had history and potential that only the Elder saw, so I’m guessing that City Hunter either applied to impress and wanted to join the Lost Tribe or Elder wanted to see if CH was worthy to join giving him a task which in some ways he passed but I’m guessing CH was a over achiever.
But yeah to answer @YautjaSymbiote no CH wasnt apart of the JH’s Clan he was a Young Blood looking to impress and be apart of the growing Lost Tribe Clan.

Yeah I feel like jungle hunter type armor is probably very common at least the mask style since we see many preds with it. It could probably be taken as a basic mask and then predators build off it or make entirely new ones if they choose

I do think it is a common or base like armor to start off with since we see a lot of Predators who aren’t from the JH clan wear said armor and mask. Hell even Wolf could have had the mask on his wall of tanked mask which I said before being that “Masks are another way of showing Rank”

No they are just a clan known as the “Los Angeles Hunting Party” and only one Predator was wearing the Jungle Hunter mask - Scout. It’s the exact same prop used in the 1987 movie. So is Greyback (Elder) face and body, with armour. It’s just had other things edited on it
Nope - recast from the same mold, but not the same prop. Paint job on it is diffrent also.
Absolutly not - Elder face is a new custom creation - it features Jungle hunter forhead and City Hunter mandibles.
SOME bits are recasted from old molds (no props were reused from 1st movie apart from Gort helmet) but most of this armour was made new fro P2.
This is my headcanon.
I’m also pretty sure there’s about as much depth to it as picking out your favorite paintball helm minus the vision modes looking different. Preference.
There’s still some dress code but I don’t think it’s YOU ALL HAVE TO WEAR MATCHING, SPOTLESS DEFAULT MASS PRODUCED MASKS ranking thing. Crucified apparently knew what he was doing even though he preferred the stock walmart biomask and jungle armor.
