Weapon damage reduced

I think I can agree though that any one single FT stat (damage, speed, health, etc.) should not exceed the Predator stat, considering they out number 4:1. Was there a specific attack you had in mind to reduce the damage of?

For example: I agree FT knife damage vs Predator melee damage is out of whack. But I think I would rather see Predator melee increased than FT melee decreased.

I don’t think FT need to reduce again.i use the predator hunter or Scout can take down the FT. Sure sometimes I will fail.but now predator is strong enough to fight to FT. Reduce the FT again will make the predator toooooo OP. I guess you need to improve you skill. Predator is hunter mot fighter

That’s the thing that needs to be accept by devs, you can not.

K&M has a flexibility and ease of use that controllers can not achieve unless you get one of the ones with pedal levers that cost like 300 and still its not even the same and just buy a fucking PC at that point.

Games like RB6 Seige just recently addressed minor issues like recoil recently with a certain gun. On PC it was fine, controllable with practice, moment you tried with a controller it went to the sky like you trying to spin the gun like in Terminator 2 every shot.

Right now, all the guns, have basic/minimal recoil even for a controller, its pretty laser accurate.

Starting simple by bumping recoil up, especially for the high tier DPS weapons could bring things in line slowly, but gamers will be gamers and master it eventually. Address PC and PS4 separately. Thats why crossplay is a nightmare in PvP games.

I’ve said it before, the weapon slots and classes need a revamp or reorganization, restrict weapons and classes, make roles essential and give them weaknesses and strengths, reserve gear/weapons for only certain classes, i.e. battlefield 3 style which got a hold of a sweet spot, not perfect but worked very well. Turn assault into a medic, support into the ammo guy with his ammo and big guns.

Rework the secondary slot of weapons so pistols actually have a use in this besides the 2XL and memeing.

Recon could actually be fucking recon and not just everyone. Scout could be the glass cannon speed guy with low health. The usual stuff we see in games (because it normally works)

Give classes a unique icon so when they’re scanned by pred in thermal he can see who he would want to address first if a team has a good role selection. Promotes some stalking before just rushing, could even bring scanning for loadouts (put on the scoreboard screen who cares, doesn’t have to be fancy) something that could identify who is the bigger threat.

Right now its find team, kill them. No stalk, intel gathering promoted, sure “points” but that’s nothing, the only numbers most are concerned about is the in game currency (different topic)

Some guns do need a tone down because again individually they’re fine, but as a 4 stack it can go over board.

Fireteam should be addressed as a 4 player team, 4 guns, 4 health bars, 4 sets of gear uses. If multiplied by 4 its too much then address it. If something like a weapon is left short individually, then thats okay because its not about 1 person, its about 4 of you.

Force team play and roles. Fuck the “play it your way” mentality.

Predators on the other hand, its the opposite, only one in play, so address them individually.

People say Berserkers seems OP and on health so limit his boar spawn, nerf HIS swing combo or just take his combi till a better solution is found. “But lore, and Pred this” bite me, its video game, balance should come first before the small details of lore. I love this shit but all masses go to first YouTube video that say EZ wins preds and this is the shit yall get for it. Well it seems exploitable so either fix or remove it. I think its in a fair place, lot of people disagree, I dont play berserker so I dont know.

The issues in one predator class dont always trickle down to other classes so while combis aren’t much risk to big dude against 4 people it is still quite the risk as the Scout and a bold move as a hunter. Not saying buff for them but I hope yall get my point I’m getting at.

I just think alot of stuff is being addressed the wrong way and certain pills are hard to swallow like illfonic shouldn’t have done crossplay because its too much to balance out properly.

With Downrange equipped as Predator you can 2 shot any FT member with the Bow, and you want FT nerfed… try practicing with Pred more and use hunting strategies, Pred isn’t meant to be bulletproof or play like CoD

Agree with a lot of what you say.

Beeserkers main point of weakness is lack of stamina to complete melee combos. With Adrenal Boost equipped you can just go nuts basically. With Impenetrable and Fearless equipped as well you can down a whole FT like it’s nothing right after a well placed Leap Slam, especially in spots ideal for breaking LoS for the FT, like the Drug Camp on Overgrown

When they remove the Beserker class, sure 🤣 FOH saying FT is ridiculously overpowered. You clearly haven’t played as a fireteam member with randoms against a Beserker. It’s game over in 3 minutes when they use the meme-stick.

the game’s not perfectly balanced, but it seems relatively fair atm. there’s a counter to pretty much everything if you play smart.

I think damage is fine on both sides. The problem FT runs way too fast with just the knife out. Running speed should be determined by the heaviest weapon you have on you. This will balance everything out.

The higher DPS weapons like the LMG will slow down those players and they can’t hunt the predator down in second wind, even with a knife out.

Players will no longer be able to run away and kite the predator in melee situations by just switching to the knife.

FT will take longer to reach each objective giving more time for the predator.

More people on FT will choose lighter primary weapons, and they will have more utility, but because they aren’t as damaging the predator will not be downed as fast as before. This will also balance out the weapons because as it stands the LMG needs a nerf, and most of the pistols, and the first SMG need a buff.

So playing to my point.

Illfonic shouldn’t be afraid to pull a perk off or nerf it. Same with a weapon or gun.

The “Nerf” to fire team is to force their game play into teamwork and less Rambo. This means uncoordinated randos/solos can get eaten alive. Those that do, will survive most likely or get the Pred kill. Thats the way it should be, push teamwork on to the FT, push OBJs, push survival. Majority of the time, its a TDM as soon as Pred shows up.

Address Predator classes individually. Fireteam is a squad, address them as a team.

If abuse or exploits are appearing address. This go for all this issues. The slam glitch, entire mag dump glitch, under the map, shooting the roof, the slew of countless things people found.

Make it so you need a full energy charge to do a slam and big boys tank recharges slowest and has less effective or weaker but broader. Get creative.

Nerf doesn’t have to equal weaker damage, Especially by damage stats. There plenty of ways to tackle a “nerf”. Problem, alot of the fundamental gameplay on both sides, is kinda flawed. More so FT but thats the devs fault for allowing it.

When you really dig into it and ask questions it becomes apparent. What is Predator’s objective - plain as fucking day. Hunt the high risk prey for trophies.

What is Fireteam’s objective everymatch? At this point thats a good question. Do you OBJs and extract or should I good for the Pred kill?

What is the ideal gameplay scenario all players should be experiencing? If its supposed be inspired by the movies, its aim is for survival. Is that what we’re seeing? Not really, there’s a list of reasons why, a masive list. Right now its pretty much a 4v1 TDM. Not an asymmetrical 4v1 Survival. Hunting FT should be tough, Pred should be picking apart teams to get kills for the timer runs out. FT should feel like OBJs and extract are the ticket to living and getting the win. Soon as Pred is see, its shoot it down, no “Fuck we need to move and get fuck outta here ASAP.”

What is a win? What is a loss? Are there draws? Are there partial wins or losses? Why or why not.

Part of the grief is there’s dead silence on this stuff from Illfonic.

We see no solutions planned or anything.

Sorry about my big ass rant. Theres just alot to address and unpack on this game. Every time I talk about this I just see so much (and more) wrong and missed and so many easier changes that could be made and shift things into different direction. Probably the one we all kinda hoped for.

I think they need to look at noise and ft speed first. But yeah, TTK is pretty quick for fireteam considering they have 4 players concentrating fire on 1 target (or should be). And the solution is probably more damage falloff rather than a flat damage decrease. The team still needs to be able to stop the Predator just rushing in for a melee spam. Up close both the fireteam and Predator should be deadly, but the Pred shouldn’t be able to just melee spam down the team.

reduce damage at extreme ranges, buff some of the weaker weapons at close range. (2nd shotgun and the Vector type SMG are good where they are at close damage)

each weapon has different max range. assault rifle = 300m? SMG =125m?

Something like that.

EG: close range (0m) damage = 100%
MAXIMUM range (300m) damage = 1%

RANGE: 0----------50----------100
DAMAGE: 100----------50-----------1

Snipers being the exception. they need a falloff at both ends. too far and it falls off, too close and it falls off.

Helps pred use more range tactics without being melted. helps stop bezerker spam rush by making very close range damage higher.

Lmao dood… Most people have learned to spot, mud up and parrying… Don’t pretend you’re good because as of now the game is pretty imbalanced in the favor for FT.

If you have slightly good eyesight and first spot the Predator then people are gonna keep spotting him until he has run far away…

When I play Pred I win and lose 50/50 but as FT I’ve lost perhaps once or twice so far.

This especially is bad for new players who wants to play as the Pred but all the good stuff are locked behind levels lmao…

Game is balanced between both factions. Only thing that makes or breaks a Ft or Predator is the User. If the Ft makes a mistake its their fault not the Predators, if the Predator makes a mistake its his fault not the Ft’s. If your a terrible Predator then you need new or better tactics, strategy and more practice with the weapons. New players are just gonna have to learn from their mistakes.
