Can we not level up weapons in Private Matches anymore? I just played a private match trying to level up the new sniper rifle. I downed 51 AI in one match and didn’t get any experience toward the gun.

No, it definitely still does, but one of two things could have resulted in what you experienced:
1 ) if you have any modifiers on for the match XP is reduced to such an extent that you won’t notice any increase;
2 ) there is an occasional bug where XP and veritanium are not awarded at the end of a match.

Must be the latter because I’m at max level and have no need for XP multipliers. Never a dull moment with illfonic!
