Weapon switching animation cancel, is it an option?

I use a controller and wanted to know if there was a quick way to switch, apparently when i switch weapons the game doesnt realize i have switched so it shoots the net instead of the plasma

I tried the quick switch perk but the game still lags in weapon switching

I believe you need to assign weapons to specific buttons. I did this on PS and it’s the only effective way to switch weapons, because if I open the weapon wheel, I do it so fast that I end up fucking it all.
