Weapon switching as predator

Why is it a design decision to make it so clunky and slow? There are so many times where I’m absolutely FUMBLING around the damn weapon wheel in the middle of fire fights trying to get quick access to things on the fly. Also the button that switches back to your previous weapon is nice can we get added functionality to default an item when holding the button?

There is key binding but its not clear what weapon is which while setting up, also its been giving me hell because they switch automatically in the trees which will.mess up my flow when I
starting a ground fight.

If they fix key/button custom mapping it would help hugely.

Pred can only keybind Gear 1,2 and 3, not weapons. PLus on PC the weaponwheel can REALLY mess up your flow because it tends to not pick what you want in a hurry.

So no, the basic controls…are not here.

I want weapon keybinding for the PC so bad. I’m shocked they didn’t have it at launch. Fire Team gets it. But not Pred?? The wheel is very clunky and glitched. A lot of times I select a weapon. And it changes to another weapon. PC players hate the weapon wheel.

I found that out while going through options the hard way but they need remove from the options under Pred controls if thats decision and let us set up a default weapon button.

On PS left D-pad is “cycle last” if can make that my melee or wrist blade no matter what I can deal with switching to my bow/caster other stuff on the fly.

Problem with cycle last is remembering that Predkoring automatically set up caster or range weapon. Im used to manually controling this kinda stuff in games but now it being done for me is throwing me off because I wanna trust it but when I do, its the wrong item.

I’ve completely remapped my ps4 controls. Weapons 1-4 are counter-clockwise:
1: plasma caster,
2: primary
3: secondary
4: wrist blades (but actually does nothing so don’t bother)

I bound those to my d-pad. I put the weapon wheel on R3 because I put jump to L2 (aim/fire to the shoulders).

Now I no longer fight the weapon wheel as I’ve almost completely eliminated it. The only thing I’ve lost is mimicry.

Gonna try this out.

If i can default a Melee weapon i want, I can ease my fumbling when I get close from tree jumping

This is not fair!!! Why is it on console you can remap your weapons? But us on PC can’t?!?!

Main reason why I haven’t bought the game yet. I can take one side being OP/UP because you can discuss that, try new tactics, get patches etc.
This is not up for debate. It should be in the game and if it’s some design decision and it’s never going to be added I wish the devs would just say so we know where we stand.

To be clear; the weapon wheel is so damn bad. No one should have to “get used to it”.
