Kinda odd how people say this game is dead. Evil Dead takes FOREVER to find a match on Survivor and Demon sides. PHG, FT is the usual 30sec to a minute, Pred no more than 6 and it’s been pretty low lately. And I’m constantly seeing new players when I check their percentages. It’s not popular, it’s not averaging Fortnite-level player counts, but it’s doing better that people give it credit for.

Yes. The guy has well over 1000 subs, which is when youtube starts paying you advertisement money. I tried to get into it at one point myself, but couldn’t be arsed - takes up too much time for a side gig.

First off, if you think Sam is making any respectable amount of income based on sub and even view count alone, then someone with a million subs must be a fucking billionaire, and having even a million subs is insignificant on youtube nowadays. Literally every day I hear of a youtuber I never heard of previously who has a few million subs. They’re a dime a dozen. Let alone a measly 15K subs.

Secondly, you and your retardation clearly don’t know how youtube monetization works. 2 channels with the exact same sub and view counts don’t bring in the same amount of money, so that criteria alone doesn’t mean shit. In many cases it’s not even close. Why? Two words: subject matter. Someone like Graham Stephan with 4.2M subs absolutely brings in more money than someone making ASMR with 10X the subs and views. Why? Because his channel is all about finance, and considering youtube uses targeted advertising based on subject matter (among other things), the advertisers for his channel’s subject matter are all banks, investment firms, exchanges, luxury brands etc with deep pockets and a large willingness to pay big bucks to get their ads in front of relevant viewers. They pay even more than TV because with TV it’s much more random than youtube. Sure, you can do a bit of targeting by advertising luxury vacations on a channel like CNN because you know much of their viewerbase is going to be educated people who actually care about world news, and likewise who have the type of money to afford your lavish vacation packages, but that’s a lot more of an assumption than youtube where you KNOW what someone is interested in based on their search and watch history.

Advertisers pay way, way, WAY less to have their ads placed on an ASMR channel than the ones who pay to have theirs placed on a finance channel. Now, knowing all of this, who in their right fucking mind do you think cares to advertise their product on a PHG channel? Nobody. Like I said, if Sam is making anything even remotely close to a respectable amount of coin on 15K subs and measly 3-digit view counts, while creating content for a subject matter that no advertiser gives a shit about, then someone like Graham Stephan must be a fucking billionaire.

So i doubt Sammy makes a dime or if he has virtual money, probably spends it on tools on youtube that require currency. Its all a hobby i see it as and probably a virtual sandbox where if you get hits, it equates to virtual currency. Then you spend it through the site for analytics, video editing, channel plugging,etc. I mean, if they youtube had stocks, they would be bankrupt by now if everyone cashed in their youtube credits for actual cash.
