We all know that long queue time=everyone wants to play as predator. I know guys fireteam is not fun to play. I think this is because it is just not like i am being hunted by predator, no fear, but this is a horror game. WTF guys. Unfortunately i don’t think illfonic can solve this matter. Even though this game is good looking garbage, this game should be playable at least. So here is solution. Delete the option which makes users to select faction. Random pick only. We can play predator in 20% and this is actually a high percentage. I know this system will be awful for streamer but this is the only option to get 30sec queue.

Nope. Youd be killing the game, a lot of ppl would walk away. Every time a post like this pops up, ppl always say no. Only a few want this.
There seems to be a problem with matchmaking, its not just the amount of ppl who want to be pred.
Because theres a lot of willing ft players.

maybe it should be added that you have to pay veritanium if you want to play as a predator … 2000 veritanium??? players would also have to play as FT…
yep… what’s the point of paying $40-60 for a game where u have a CHANCE to play as Pred or FT or whichever you main? Gotta give people freedom to choose lol
I know people are complaining that would ‘kill’ the game, but that’s not really true. Looking at Illfonics other game, F13 you get full lobbies within 2 minutes even now, and killer / survivor is chosen at random. All you can do is set a preference, not a firm choice. People are fine with it there. Not to mention more people were watching F13 streams this morning than pred on twitch, so not a deterrent for streamers and viewers.
Maybe people here have nothing better to do with their time, but I personally would rather play the game every 2 minutes or less and leave which side I’m on to a little chance, than playing 1 game every 7-18 minutes with the chance it’s bugged anyway, just for the sake of absolutely playing my preferred side.
I play either FT or Pred, if that matters - just saying, if it really came down to leaving what you play to chance and getting to play a lot, or being firm with what you play and only playing a game or two per hour, I know how I’d pick.
The problem is that some people can not play predator in an hour of game because it’s casual.
F13 was a total shit show- people leave matches when they want to be Jason and are selected as counselor in that game. I have over 500 hours on F13 and I can say with total confidence their matchmaking system sucks, it breeds toxicity and a bad player base.
If they add a system like that to this game it’ll be the same thing, people will just leave when they spawn as predator wanting to play FT or vice versa
Yeah. I was thinking the same actually. It will encourage toxicity. And i love toxicity, but only as a system of a down song title :)

NO. I dont think you understand how many ppl would walk away. I’d probably quit. It’s too late to make it random. If I knew the game was gonna be random selection I wouldn’t have bought it.
The game was marketed to PLAY as the predator. Not try to survive or hunt him down.
This is what “no preference” should be. They have their own separate queue while players who choose which side to play have another queue. Not sure if this what it’s like right now.

The response is NO! Limiting the players and pressuring them into playing a faction would be a death blow and a signal that they have failed to make it suspenseful and fun enough to play FT.
