There have been a few times after spawning in as Fireteam there has been a yellow diamond objective marker on the opposite side of the map.
I think that it indicates where the Predator spawned on the map? It has no real impact as we know the Predator spawns across from Fireteam when the match starts, at least that’s what I’ve read. Just an odd thing is all.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or does it signify something completely different that I’m not aware of?

Yellow diamond markers usually signify a teamate using spotting to mark a veritanium pile
Sorry, let me try to clarify.
It’s an objective marker that appears immediately after the FT spawns in. I can open the area map with my touch pad and the marker is all the way on the opposite side of the map.
There would be no feasible way for a FT member to have line of sight to the other side of the map to mark it.
It’s not a big deal, I just thought it was weird , not game altering at all.
I will try to screen shot it when and if it happens again.
When this happens I’ve found it’s usually a part of a later objective for the mission- I’ve noticed this happening on derailed a lot with the mission where the train crash has a relic on it youre looking for, it gets stolen by thieves that are off on the edge of the map and if they die for whatever reason they’ll drop it and it’ll highlight as a mission objective, even if you aren’t to that part yet
You still have to do the first of the mission with searching through the rubble but then if you’ve already picked up the relic from the guys you can go straight to the camp with the last objective
yep…same thing occured for me in that same mission. Not sure why that happens though or if it happens all the time.
I almost thought the devs started placing openworld concepts and that one objective marker was a side quest of sorts.
