What can I do against spotting?

I was cloaked and stand still for 10 sec. They all couldnt see me but then my Predator is just screaming and talking and giggling all the time. Its annoying. I cant do anything. Because then they knew where I was.

I dont think cloak is really cloak. I mean… in the movie nobody could see the predator and they couldnt really hear him. But in this game you are NOT cloaked. you are completly white and you shine like stars. What the hell?. I play FT and Pred but mostly FT because it is easier I would say. As FT you can see the pred everywhere. He is loud etc…

This is just not realistic…

how spotting should work in my opinion: FT should be able to spot positions. Maybe they should be able to spot the pred but the Spotting circle should not “follow” the pred (sorry for my english^^) there should only be a green spot not a wall hack. So if u normaly spot its yellow and if u spot the pred its green “spot position”.

Edit: I am never on trees ;)

great question… unfortunately there no pred counter to being spotted lol… if they spam tag in a direction and u are in the aoe, rip especially if it’s a good FT

When you don’t move, you’re completely invisible. But if a FT member knows, or guesses where u are they can still spot you. The system absolutely needs tweaking.

What they could do is make pred noises omnidirectional buuut that prolly wont happen.

Noise makers would still work as in they would think that pred is in the area looking at them even thou he would not be near by etc etc.

you’re not really invisible tho if sound gives u away lol

Yea that’s true. It’s not a precise location, but it’s definitely close enough.

Our preds must master ventriloquism.

mid tier FT’s and up can fully take advantage of that and rip your “invisibility”

Something you could try that you might wanna test first is does the pred make as much noise out of cloak as he does in it?

I’ve been seeing more pred players not using the cloak as heavily and it SEEMS like they make less noise overall. I could be totally wrong but it could also be worth checking out.

Other things worth doing, firing on the FT from trees from above them, most FT players won’t look directly up right away, but scan other trees first. Along those lines if you can get shots on the FT past another tree with trail leaving weapons (bow and caster) it often makes it look like the pred is in the closer tree.

Another that i’ve only seen once was a predator drop in behind a barrel next to a fence and be cloaked with a bow while crouched. He was right on top of us and it took us forever to figure it out (he put 3 of us down in order Im sure if he wasn’t giggling so much in glee he coulda won by quickly getting into melee when there was 2 of us down at the same time.)

That or they could make the audio decoys play different sounds to fool the FT. Maybe the sound of the Predator running? It would draw the teams attention to that spot. That way you could have the Predators sounds more omnidirectional as you stated, but still maintain use for the decoys.

more like advanced ventriliquism lol…

You know I was talking with a buddy and we feel audio decoy should always be in our inventory. For free. It isn’t strong enough to cost point imo.

In general, even when cloaked, move and position yourself as if you are not cloaked.

Use terrain and buildings to cover your approach. Move when you are pretty sure no one is looking your way.

Cloak only when needed because you are quieter when you are not cloaked.

Leap or crouch walk when you can as that is quieter that walking and sprinting.

As @Silveri said, no trees unless you are mixing it up to confuse them. You are generally much better off on the ground, on a truck, on a shack.

Or even better you are uncloaked hiding quietly behind the truck or behind the shack, using your third person camera to watch them, ready to spring out when they are not prepared.

When you do cloak, crouch immediately as it speeds up your transition into invisibility.

I would agree but I would like that to only make Predator sounds. Not just clicking, but stomping and leaping etc.

It fools nobody to hear a FT call for help when all FT are present and accounted for.

True. This is why I have said before these “permastealth” builds are just wasting perk slots in my opinion.

Hm. How about pred sounds, plus guerrilla alert lines? Even ft lines like enemy spotted or something. I think it would really throw them off.

Maybe alert lines, but would prefer just Predator sounds.

Or have it act like a mic where then your clicking and and purring get played at the decoy instead of at your location. And or Predator can play the speak menu through it as well.

I’m sure we can fit a microphone inside that helmet somewhere.

Crap sorry to go off topic. I am still at work and exited to get home soon and try the new pistol. I have my blinders on.

Fair enough.

I would like for it to play music so we can have a break dance battle with the ft. XD.

But ya man, I agree, peed only sounds would help out more.

At least your abilities are not doing you HARM instead of helping. Try smoke, completely useless and harms the team. Predator can see trough it. Even if you combo it with thermal decoy and predator can still see you throw smoke and thermal.
I could go into the usefulness of flashbang and even grenades but meh…
