Fr tho the minimum wage over here has been absolutely appauling for ages, when I was working my first job I got paid five fucking quid an hour. Unless you took an apprenticeship, you were fucked. Nowadays kids prolly have it even harder - when I was young, it was still possible to afford a house or your own tuition fees if you knew how to pinch penniesā€¦ nowadays itā€™s just debt bonanza. I think itā€™s closer to Ā£10 an hour for adults, but if youā€™re under 18 itā€™s like Ā£4.50.
