What does everyone consider a good wage?

at every job i’ve ever worked i’ve made around $11-12 an hour i live somewhere in missouri this equates to around 22k a year which is under the poverty line for a family of three which i have i will probably never make more money than this in my entire life due to simply having little to no oppurtunity in the town i live and simply being unable to move due to my finances i however do “own” a home but i only own this home because my father died and left an inheritence which my brother and i put ours together for a down payment on a house that was going to be condemned which i fixed up myself the best i could cause my brother was born with spinal bifida so i’ll be taking care of him for his entire life

i would probably agree with most leftists that $15 an hour minimum wage or at least 30k a year is a reasonable wage for any person at least in the US especially in today’s economy

because there was a time where my dad was allive and he made 40k a year towards the end of his life and made it real clear to me what the differences in income could be

Damn, Kame. Keep up the fight, man. I grew up poor, but, otherwise, I’ve gotten lucky with meeting the right people at the right time. Being decent at wrestling and football opened up a lot of opportunities that I otherwise wouldn’t have had.

With the all the shit happening like the Ukraine war, Turkey-Syria earthquake, Iranian Women’s Rights Revolution, and failing economies, it seems silly i was ever so concerned with the state of PHG.

yeah i do what i can i find happiness in my hobbies which is why i’m so passionate online about them they happen to be the only thing i’m good at besides just talking to people i do my best to remain reasonable despite people being less so as i try to aspire that things could be so much better

but the nihilist in me recognizes that humans are inherently evil we have no reason to be good to each other which is why most people aren’t society isn’t geared that way

i ilve by the mantra “we shoudl try to make other peoples lives easier so they in turn make someone else’s life easier someday” even if in my experiance it just doesn’t happen

if you were to ask me what job i would like to do rather than the one i have (custodian)
it would either be a professional fighting game player or a therapist

Every wage that’s not low or average.

Highly depends on the cost of living where you reside.

$15 an hour where I live is shit. A fast food employee makes that and it does not allow you to afford living on your own

Anything making over 100k per year is good.

For me and what I want, a good wage is around 150k a year

only after several years of working lower wages. And why would i say that ?

you wouldn’t believe the stupidy of some engineering students who want all the glory a year out of school. they are paying a shit ton of taxes but they are probably also paying off their student loans.
they will buy a condo in some shit hole of a city.by then of the day, they won’t have much more money than most people.
they dont’ learn shit in school, which some pschologist say are a glorified daycare.

Some have higher goals which is fine. Every one has a different path in life my friend

the shit coming out of startups these days are bound to take out large business loans, then they fall into a business trap that either they find out their idea is useless or they need to constantly keep up.

Exactly

I use to work for a ‘groupon’ type of company. You can’t believe the money they did not make.

Some work and some don’t sadly. I’m hoping to start my own business or company in my 30s, something to do with cars as I love cars and would be more hobby than work to me

Hey, some people have the coolest ideas as a startup and they uniquely are tied to the most explosive industries. You never know! I’d say live the dream, you have lots of time so don’t rush it! The moment you get money for it either through loans or profit, its still money to use wisely.
Remember though there will always be assholes like people here who keep going “Fix your fucking game!” when nobody told them to buy a ps3 to play it on.
