What Fireteam Needs

Played a few privates today with some friends and a lot of modifiers. Played a few when the patch came out and all I have to say is the same thing I’ve been saying for the longest time… activate friendly fire and watch how “top tier” FTs play like potatoes.

Every co-op mainstream game out there has friendly fire activated for a reason. Without it, the game is easy mode. Activate it, and with all the damage output the FT has, it will punish sloppy players while rewarding those who are more strategic and communicate better.

I think it needs to be implemented. Force FT to communicate and play with more strategy. It would also make for more entertaining FT play. Be sure to take more strategic positions, Be less “trigger friendly” and more precise with the shots.

Problem with that are trolls.

And coming from the siege community it doesn’t do much since even coppers will get used to it.

Not even that, general awareness of players. They can’t even stick together, imagine throwing grenades…

I mean it would definitely work it’s just I know for.sure I waould kill teammates who use ammo crates or medkits when they don’t need them or teammates that don’t have specs equipped

We have done this few days ago - I have suggested that, but the leader of the part (I will not name names, we both know him well ;-)) freaked out, agreed to do it only if we will increase health to 300 XDDDDD And increase speed or something…
I was trying to convince him to actually do a classic hunt only with that small change - NO!!! Absolutely not XDDDDD It tells you a story. If FF would be a thing, than the so called death squads would kill themselves before doing any damage to pred. It defiantly should be on by default in classic hunt. I have no doubts about that.

of course that’s always a problem. But for teams who are bored with how easy is the game, I would suggest to just activate friendly fire and try it out in a private match.

I am in no way good enough to take on the guys I was playing against. And I only won one match because of FF and no reinforcement.

I think it needs to be implemented by default on ranked matches, if we ever get something like that.

we had a lot of fun with mods today. I lost 3 out of 4 matches. The only one I won and the one I managed to get 2 kills were with FF, so that tells you something.

I only wish somebody else would have play Pred so I could have tried the FT side with FF.

I shouldn’t have won any, but we had other modifiers that helped me, such as no reinforcement and instacharged plasma shots and infinite energy.

But, overall, I think FF is a good step towards making FT play be a bit more interesting and challenging

FF doesn’t really do much since comp players will get used to it and trolls will get a drastically worse way to sandbag their team

I would say yes if the game registers the entire FT as a premade, with pubs including trolls and potatoes, it would make it generally worse otherwise.

Its still worth for range lmao… so the bullet drops and does not do much dmg from like far away, if the pred is lets say on close tree and ur like hidden as sniper u deal a lot of dmg if u can hit him

Also isnt it kinda unrealistic people can just throw grenades at their feet n shit to like avoid pred melee attacks to scare him away… while them are not taking dmg ?

Yeah but I’m used to bullet drop in games I play.
I tend to aim to high some times and miss that sweet dome, this will be more natural for me

The point is i made a topic about this and how everything balances things out if ur thinking im in favor for predator, which i assume u think that lmao… first of all a 50. cal bullets are heavy af, second of all the gun is also heavy af… u combine that u basically cant move properly and the recoil and inaccuracy would be just too much unless u can place it on straight firm surface… thats my point, where this game does not make any sense but still the sniper is the most powerful weapon in the game lmao if u can land ur shots.

I already suggested the whole rework for that where both fireteam and predator will have dynamic armor & body parts, and if you hit your headshots like full mag the predator should be as good as dead… or technically any weapon u deal dmg with to his head will damage him fully for 100% … while if u hit his lets say

Torso: 75% damage input
Arms / Legs: 50%
