What if part 3

This is part 3 of the what if saga or whenever I decide to stop. To recap the last 2 one was super serious while the other was not so serious.

This one will be a mix of both. In todays what if we will cover things from emotes to player controlled long claims. And a few others to go along with the trend of serious and not so serious.

So I think later down the road we the devs should implement emotes. They go the same with the chat wheel but a 2nd wheel option is available. This is for both sides and will be a combination of movie quotes and simple dance moves. Example Pred That sweet dance number they did in the bloopers of Pred 2, Or Just overall silly voice lines, Example Wish I got a Picture or something else silly.

This will allow a more fun experience overall with friends and in pub.

Now Player controllable long claims also being able to see them in the menu customization menu. When playing the pred I think the player needs to be able to select from four options to give each ft player a unique Kill animations. (Im tired of playing the ft and seeing the same rip my spine out my ass long claim)

I know these are very low on anyones priority list but I think later in the games life this would make the game better.

Nah leave that in fortnite and destiny.
As much as I love the emotes in destiny, I dont want it for pred.

However, more lines would be cool tho.

Okay

Maybe covered in the next part

Delete every game you have and stuck to fortnite.
You’ve lost the privilege to play any other game.

The only part of fortnite I have played is the zombie part that like noboy know about

FFS, No.

Don’t the kids have enough goofy, clownish games already? This game is supposed to be styled around the atmosphere and drama of the original movie (how successful they’ve been in doing that is open to debate, but broadly speaking I think they’ve done a decent job). Can’t the Pred IP be allowed to be its own distinct thing as opposed to shoe-horning in ‘silly’ garbage aimed at attracting half-wits?

Unfortunately, I can foresee a future where every game is essentially just a variant of Fortnite.

Fortnite was not the first game to have emotes tho like wtf?

Im sorry that you are 19 years old and cant remember emoting in madden 10 after you destroy you brother but thsts not my issue

Also like how ppl are harping on what I said was the no serious part of this post but ppl hear tend to do tht so

Oh spare me the patronising. I’m in my 40s - fan of the original film.

I mention Fortnite as it’s emblematic of the problem with many modern games turning into homogenised carbon-copies of each other.

You’ve suggested including silly clownish shit in a Pred game. I disagree for the reasons I’ve already given.

I dont play any of that genere so wouldn’t know. So change the word and make them taunts. Like aftet the pred claims someone he can give the ole Generation X cross chop on his pred cock idk your acting like I want the pred to floss over a dead body. Nah i want a middle figure to the sky or take the skull off ur belt and fist pump it. Im sorry you knowledge lf emotes is limited to flossing and 2 steppin

But silly shit aside. We need to be able to choose our long claims as pred

We don’t need dance moves of any kind in this game - that is my essential point.

So why didn’t you lead with that? Why beat around the bush get to the point. We are not 7th grade girls telling a story play by play.

I want an emote to smoke a joint after killing the Pred, while I watch him go boom. (Jokes, only half seriously but still half.)

Jeez, sorry - I know you’re renowned for your concise and not at all long-winded posts.

This kind of thing is fine of course, though I’m not sure how they’d implement it without the inevitable bugs.

Then again that’s the problem with a lot of suggestions (whether they’re good or not). The more complexity you try to add, the more likely it would be fucked up by the developers. People need to lower their expectations a little. This is a small studio.
