What is the purpose of leveling up?

That is exactly what it should be. The predator is the boss in this game but the way it is now it just doesn’t seem that way.

I also think that Predators should not be able to be killed unless vitals are taken out and the chopper has already left. Up until that point it should be that the Predator is stunned and not killed. It makes each fight last till the end and gear up for an all out Boss battle at the end of each match.

Humans are the underdogs in the Predator Universe, that is how the game should be.

Lmao literally the only problem is just how you explained it, earlier on. But so far everything sounds good, and I agree. It’s a pain in the ass to try make things balanced tho.

Kind of like the Friday the 13th matches where Tommy had to be called in to down Jason. It should be something special to take down a Predator. Just like it was taking down Jason.

Not sure about that tho. Cause if you read the book, the prequel to this game, dutch actually hunts preds with just normal weapons.

He also lost many teams in doing so. They are not pushovers by any means necessary. Taking a Predator down should feel like a boss battle.

it just doesn’t have that feeling to it like Friday the 13th did. It was fun to team up and take Jason down and get everything in order to do so. This is just shoot him till he is dead. There is no real strategy in that. Many of us would like more. It seems like I am the only one to really speak up with any sense of pride when talking about the Predator Universe though. Everybody else would feel bullied and just give up but, I for one know this game could be so much better than what it currently is. They have to put more thought into it though and make it more along the actual lore of the movies and comics and not just appease the PvP fan base. You want to play PvP there are a shot ton of other games out there for that crap. This is Predator hunting Grounds, humans are the prey and should know where they stand when taking on a race of hunters that have been hunting the Universe’s most dangerous prey for thousands of years. They take the aspects of all their prey and integrate it into their own genetic make-up. That tells you something, they are true badasses that have been around for a very long time and don’t have any worries about who they offend with not being fair.

Once you prove to them that even with all their advantages you still have one up on them then you might be lucky to be able to walk away with your life but don’t look that gift horse in the mouth too long or they are more then likely to make you regret it. They have a sense of pride but nothing like ours and will not hesitate to make you pay for being too cocky. A hard earned victory against one is the only saving grace that keeps other Predators from coming back to hunt you but if you push that envelope like Dutch has, they will be more than happy to keep looking to put your head and spinal cord on their trophy display.

The way it is now there is no fear factor to anything that I just spoke about them. Predators should be feared and respected, not just trampled on like they are in this game as it is now.

What makes him a joke is lack of patience
and rushing melee spammer players… Actually its pretty hard playing as a pred cause u need to think every step ehead … If u make a mistake or get greedy ft can punish and light your ass in seconds…

That is the point I am trying to make though. They shouldn’t be able to just rip apart a Predator, they have body armor that protects their vital areas. The Predator in part 2 took on an entire drug cartel and killed all of them within a matter of a couple of minutes. They all had high powered rifles and it didn’t do shit to it. There has to be a little more realistic approach to fights with a Predator. Especially when it comes to gun battles. There is also people out there on PC using hacks to always know where the Predator is. That takes away from alot of the fun of being a stealthy hunter. I refuse to cross platform for that reason alone. This game needs to be redone with the Predator in much higher favor than the humans.

They didn’t to shit to the pred because they didn’t hit it. The predator has some armor at its vital parts, but most of the body is just covered with a net, left completely ulnerable.

In my opinion the predators are no demigods, they’re hunting down actual dangerous prey. In the movies they were just stealthy enough to not get shot much. If you look at how many bullets the pred in this game can soak up it’s insane.

It just seems that your looking for a single player predator game where can live your power fantasy, but in a multiplayer you always need both sides that are enjoyable to play.

What would stop the pred player with such a tanky armor you suggest, to just step in and slice through the fireteam?

Well that doesn’t happen because of the damn knife parries all the damn time. The game is also so glitchy as the Predator when you hop in to do some quick damage you bounce off of walls and stick to everything. For a Predator game this sure feels like let’s F over the main character of the game to make everybody feel OK. Please this game caters to the fireteam 100%. Like I said they should have called this Let’s F over the Predator… I hope they really make a single player mode so I can mod it to make it more realistic then it’s current state of garbage.

No, everyones saying it’s a bad idea because it is.
Souls matches you based on level and your actual souls accumulated you goon. There a strict “summon range” and at certain levels it actually becomes hard to find people to play with. They don’t let someone at endgame invade a player at the first boss which is basically what you’re asking for because you think noobstomping low levels is fun for some reason.

Go play CP enabled ESO or Black Desert and try to pvp & watch it take a year to catch up to everyone else and tell us how much fun you’re having.

The predator isn’t immortal with 5+ players to kill as fodder. They’re two different games. Ofc Predator doesn’t feel like playing fucking teleporting jason vorhees w/ instakill animations. You have a health bar its not a power fantasy game you’re very much capable of making mistakes and throwing the game because bullets hurt.

I think he meant more so how Jason is actually a terrifying threat that you have to bust your ass off to survive your encounter with him. You have to earn your survival. This…eh not so much. Preds aren’t terrifying. They’re just annoying little mosquitos that pester you when you’re doing your mission. The only time a pred is scary and a threat is when the fireteam are about as intelligent as newborns. You don’t even have to put much effort in if you want to win as fireteam. And teamwork is nowhere near as crucial as it is in F13.

Valid on all accounts but they still had to nerf counselors stunlocking the jason player because eventually no he wasn’t terrifying. It’s the nature of the game to eventually go on the offensive against the solo role after putting enough hours in because four players coordinating overcomes it 9 times out of 10.
No one in dbd is scared of the killer. Hunters weren’t scared of the monster in evolve it was the other way around for twenty mins if the monster lived that long.
It’s just that killing the pred is 0 effort currently combined with the objectives not mattering as long as one side kills the other. It’s an arena shooter with optional AI during downtime instead of any kind of tactical hunt.
Progressing objectives should be relevant to increasing how killable the predator is. Not starting the match off with a 3 second TTK if you all just shoot at him with higher level guns ft premades just stomp everything no contest with the current setup and pred wipes uncoordinated pubs.

Yeah there was a dark time where counselors would rule matches. But Jason got buffed hard after the content updates stop. Now he’s actually terrifying again. He gets rage a lot easier and he can’t be stunned while in rage. And seeing him walk through a door and start chasing after you while you’re own your own, knowing that the most you can do is stall him, in my opinion, is god damn terrifying.

I get what you mean though. The fear factor can wear off once you’ve played a while. But there are still times where it can be quite scary and I think that’s down to knowing you only have one shot. Unless of course you come back as Jarvis.

As for DBD I can’t really say. I never put a whole lot of time into that game but from what I hear from people, it’s very survivor heavy. At least when people are playing with their friends. The fear factor though is still there if you’re playing with randoms.

Evolve I can’t say nothing about. Never played it sadly.

I think…I hope what he was trying to say was that this doesn’t have the same vibe as the other games. No surviving by the skin of your teeth adrenaline rush as most others do. But judging by his other posts I could be very, very wrong.

As for me I feel the same way. I get what you mean about the easy objectives and high damage weapons. But I personally feel that even if they change that you still won’t be afraid and that’s down to the reinforcements. Second chances always suck the fear factor out of these kind of games. It’s the whole one life concept that makes these kind of games so much more intense imo.

But yeah, I agree. This game feels more like a poorly made arena shooter more than it does an asymmetrical game. And that sucks.

I loved that update. I played Jenny and then Mitch after he was added. Did very little fighting with Jason for the most part and just enjoyed the chase. Ironically Dbd made me a better Friday player, even though the chases are different and it’s not as fun as Friday.
The one bad part of rage is running the clock became much harder.
