What makes a good Predator? A discussion thread.

Hi all,

I’m interested to hear your thoughts and I will share mine.

Even if they don’t beat me, I can recognize a good Pred when I see one. Anyone who has played with me can tell you that once a Predator has demonstrated competence, I will say -

“I want this one”.

As an FT Main, I am in awe of, and want, Predators who do the following -

  1. Leap often and tactically throughout the battlefield
  2. Attack me, and others, from behind
  3. Utilize the Plasmacaster, and well (shoulder)
  4. Get a teammate off the board without a chance for revive
  5. Trap wisely, given the situation
  6. Prevent the revive
  7. Are accurate
  8. Use the right weapon for the right situation
  9. Punish any stragglers

That’s all I can think of for now, but, as an FT Main, I just want y’all Pred Mains to know,

“I likes ya, and I wants ya.”

I read a lot of the novels for inspiration, the best one so far is the Predator Anthology If it bleeds, different stories of different encounters with different Predators through different times 😁

ummmmm lol

it is true that there is too easy predator c is funny such thing c sucks, but others respect. there are unbeatable predators and as a commando and I’m not bad I’ll say it’s a pleasure to fight against a predator who has the level of a predator or you tell yourself he is hard, he jumps everywhere, he you hit, go back shoot you come back to you hit you it makes you used up your syringe in 5 minutes of play I said bravo and there is a challenge.

I believe that the good predator is the one that uses all the resources at its fingertips, gradually destroys the ft (unless one of them separates), leaving them without first aid kits and without geringillas, to give them the final melee attack

@YUPPERS Yes, it’s a Booty Warrior reference.

One word to answer your topic question - patience.

Proper use of patience will allow a half decent pred to destroy PC premades, simply because always – I mean ALWAYS someone at some point will make a mistake. Its unavoidable. It will happen in every match. You just need to wait for it.

Vast majority of preds out there have no patients what so ever - just rushing in, jumping in the middle of 4 armed to the teeth FT and than bitching on the forums on how disbalanced this game is.

patience with your crackling cloak, you outlined cloak, so funny to see crocs in the wild one shot a human off the bank.

lets not forget about low graphic settings to set things off

I will have to agree playing with patience is the only way to play optimally as predator. I personally think the stealthy approach is far more fun and rewarding. Especially if you can get everyone down and long claim people. I know it may be rare to long claim but when opportunity arises take it just be careful i usually save it for the last 2 or if i can get 3 people down and the 4th runs away or makes a mistake. Shit’s to fun.

Hit and quit

I like that tactic - leap in, swing once, twice or more and then GTFO.

That’s what I’m referring to when I’m talking about leaping around the battlefield.

Also NEVER do long claims unless you want 3 Dutch’s tearing you up a new one. Save the long claim for the last Fireteam member.

Oh wow is that real!
