Play until lv-100 you get Field Lockers and stuff and a way to farm levels and veritanium is by doing private matches and Fireteam you kill more AI and you can get the random veritanium that around the map
The best way is to solo private and farm it on derailed. You have a good chance of getting over 3k a solo farm

Do some priv match’s by yourself on overgrowth a lot of ppl don’t like ppl who priv match far but it’s a very good way to make quick money just keep goin to each camp and finding as much money as possible then kill your self and repeat
As the others have said, farming solo in private is the easiest way. The other ways to get a big bonus is obviously the new challenges meant for Fireteam and by killing and capturing the predator’s body in pristine condition.
When I farmed the metal for a while, I found it easier to farm on Overgrowth because of how the areas that it appears in are more concentrated and it’s obvious where the metal spawns (on crates outside and inside buildings) whereas in Backwater you gotta look around the entire fishing village and in Derailed you gotta search around the entire lumberyard and in railcars.
However, it is actually pointless to farm and unlock large amounts of field lockers at a time. You’re going to get the stuff sooner or later and by luck. I got the Scimitar and Tactical knives three weeks into the game. I once saved up 150 field lockers and only hit the red stuff twice as camos. And then there the was the time last week where I opened three lockers, the first locker got me two reds, the second two reds, and the third one red. It’s all a matter of luck. So I would say assemble a good fireteam and just be patient with victorious public matches.

vid i made before recent patch in a solo Private match on Derailed like others have mentioned…its even more effective now tho if u follow this to a tee since they buffed the amounts earned from looting Blue and Purp piles…
also a solid way to level up your guns if u want to and to modify them…Use a Scout class with Iron Lungs(bonus stam/recovery) , Dextrous(?) the faster interaction perk, and Faster movement speed perks
Gear should be the syringe and flashbang. You need to heal quick, and the flashbang is in case you want to finish the level, they are very good at dealing with destroy objectives.
For weapons, if you aren’t leveling things up, I go with the second assault rifle and the first two pistols. They have the least speed decrease when out, so you can run and gun better.
100 lockers is not that many tbh.
If something is go be mythical it should definitely be more rare than 1%
As many have stated below @The_mudman_44 your Initial Post, Private Matches in Derailed are the way to go.
My personal way of being efficient is always start at the Drug Road Spawn Point. After clearing Drug Road, head to the Outpost. Afterwards, head to the Lumberyard Gate between the two Vehicles and go Counter Clockwise: 2 Story Warehouse, Large Warehouse and then the Office near the Concrete Platform.
I can personally farm through Derailed in just under 8 Minutes. Derailed is the best spot as everything is close together and nicely concentrated. Overgrowth is OK, but not as resourceful. And Backwater?? I’ve tried to get a Farming Method down but it’s far too vast with too many nooks and crannies. Exploring it in full left the Timer at 0:45. Yeaaaaaaaah…
The mission in Overgrowth where you explode the fuel regularly has two pink brick spawns and you easily make over 3K everytime.
