use it on immobile target at long range or close range, be quit and retrieve it as quickly as possible for throw it again, also its a good weapon for finish a downed FT tho careful like the bow you have to calculate the correct distance before you throw, its not a point and click weapon like for the FT

I like to go for 1 or 2 melee hits, they should try to parry. Once they turn to parry, throw it through their legs. If they’re still up, they should be blind. Rush with wrist blades for the knockdown.
If at any point you get parried, take more than a quarter of your health, or see grenade indicators, get out and reposition.
Another unique feature of the combistick is that that the throw penetrates bodies. This can be used to do damage to soldiers attempting a revive and still outright kill the downed victim.

they are both trash weapons, combistick shadown nerf less 20 damage, I dont know what did they think when they destroyed that weapon for nor eason

Because people complained about it. Didn’t you know the rules in this game? Predator players are the only ones who need to git gud so FT players don’t get their fragile little puss hurt

If you’re in a one-on-one against a knife-wielding FT, you can keep running to their side outside of parrying range and still hit them with the combi too

Yep. I’ve heard bow camping, bow spamming, etc. What the fuck? That thing is so hard to land hits with on a controller. Just don’t suck 🤨
If you shoot with your assault rifle or your sniper is not spamming. But if you shoot more than 2 arrows is bow spamming. Fireteam one trick are beyond noob.

The stick is better sadly. The disc is not very very good despite it’s high damage at top speed. It needs it’s mechanics reworked into energy in exchange for longer flight duration, slow down speed, and damage output.

Which one is better you’re asking? Just like any other weapon in the game it really depends on who is using it. An exception might be the battle axe and warclub, they are trash in anyone’s hands.

I run both in my City Hunter setup, I would have to say it honesty depends on ping/lag and how long you want to put into mastering each weapon.
SMART DISC
GENERAL: I have been playing since day one and joined the forums much later, and I absolutely destroy when I use the smart disc. EXCEPT for ping/lag, if it is consistently above 150 ms, good luck landing a hit with the smart disc unless the ft is standing completely still. The smart disc has a huge learning curve, but once you master it, using the smart disc is extremely rewarding.
TIPS: Focus on a single target for now, with the exception of when someone is trying to revive a downed FT member, in which case hit and kill both. How to get ONE PILOT KILLS/DOWNS: Once you hit someone, do not immediately exit the piloting, let it go past them ever so slightly, then recall it. This lets it hit them on the way back if they have not moved out of the way, and this is an instant down to anything in game. Pick up the smart disc if stuck as soon as possible because fireteam can destroy it.
COMBISTICK
GENERAL: This is the Jack Of All Trades, or the Predator Swiss Army Knife, if you will. Because it functions as a melee weapon and a ranged weapon, it is useful in most if not all scenarios that will occur in the average match. I would say given that you just unlocked the combistick, use the combistick. All around it is a “jack of all trades” type weapon in that it has decently fast swings that have a wide path (hits targets from slightly farther away then most melee and can easily hit multiple targets) and can be thrown from range for really good damage.
TIPS: Hit and run is key for the melee aspect, and after a few throws you will get an feel of how the distance drop on the throw works and how to use the sight for longer distance throws. The weapon is both a melee and a ranged weapon, and it is meant to be played as such. The best play style is to hit and run until they are low health (If FT is separated enough just down with melee and claim before teammates arrive), and then throw to down. Pick it back up, rinse and repeat. If a ft member is on their parry game, go for a melee but a the last second throw it into the ft member. It can also throw through multiple people, so if possible line up those shots to maximize damage. Note that while when both are thrown and get stuck on something, both are retrievable but the smart disc can be destroyed by FT whereas the combistick cannot be destroyed.
VERDICT: Combistick is better for general utility and ease of use, and is the better choice for most players. The learning curve for the combistick is much smaller, and as I said before is overall the better choice for most players. That is not to say that the smart disc is expressly bad, because it absolutely tears once mastered, but it only does that in certain scenarios (low ping) and is extremely hard to master for those new to the Smart Disc.
