What would you add to predators loadout?

A weapon and a gear item.

I would like a long range weapon like a rifle, for sneaky pokes. And for gear, a teargas grenade to flush FT out a building.

I would add much more practical traps. I don’t know what, but I want more traps for a Predator. Because right now the Bear trap is meh as an idea but OP as a gadget because if I step on it, I’m basically dead to a good Predator player. The audio decoy is just bad, I think it’s really bad, honestly.
What I’m curious about is what is going on with that force field around the Bear trap. I mean, why does a bear trap have a force field? I don’t mind it, it’s cool, but how does it help?
Cheers

The razor whip from AVPR.

For weapon they need the spear gun. As for gear, I’d love recon falcons and holographic projectors.

I just want the smart disk skin from avp

Would like those throwing stars they had in avp1 movie.

Remote bombs from AVP2, (the 2002 game)
WarGlave from Concrete Jungle… (and like Chopper has in AVP movie).
Stardiscs from AVP Movie…
Razorwhip from AVPR

Then maybe some duel weapon options? Duel wristblades (or extended wristblades like the AVP movie with two extentions). … like in AVP. Or duel plasma cannons like AVPR.

I’d like to see the net gun do damage like it did in P2. I rewatched it the other day and notice the net gun pinned enemies and tightened until it cut the guy deep. It should do damage instead of just wrapping them up and restricting them for a few seconds.

Remote bombs/mines type of thing,
Razor whip
Shriuken stars

id does do damage, 2 per tick

I’ve seen some good ideas here. I would be interested in seeing a garrote wire that could be used as a trap or a weapon. If an enemy walks underneath you as the predator, you could have an option to string them up noose style. Their health would rapidly drain until they either expire or they or a team member cuts them loose. If the Predator is able to down a Fire Team member in this manner then the claim animation is the Predator skinning the person. If the FT shoots you off before the wire is fully set, the captured member takes fall damage for their trouble. The predator would also have the option to throw the wire similar to a lasso and pull FT members out of the group. A fast reaction would allow the FT member to cut themselves free before they are fully reeled in. A predator might also choose to drag the FT member away instead of reeling them in on the spot to create an incentive for the other fire team members to help their team mate and cut the wire as opposed to simply shooting the Predator because he’ll have probably positioned himself behind cover. Perks could be attached to it like “serrated edge” that saps health faster or “extension” that allows a further throw. I picture the wire having the same active camouflage as the predator.

I also like the idea of polarity grenades. The way it works is the predator has a launcher that allows them to fire grenades at people. The grenades stick to surfaces as well as individuals that they come in contact with them. Pretty standard, right? The catch to these grenades is they don’t activate until a second grenade is launched. The FT doesn’t receive any indication or signal that a grenade has been launched or attached to them until the second one comes out. When this happens, both grenades sense each others polarity and “activate” and start to beep loudly. As the grenades get closer together, they beep more quickly until they get within a certain distance of each other. Let’s say 15 yards. At this point, the grenades are “armed” and a timer starts to tick down. If they go off, they down any human they are attached to and stun anyone around them. If the grenades are far enough apart, the timer stops. The FT has the option of disarming them similar to the way they disarm the self-destruct bomb. If two members that both have bombs attached to them try to disarm each others bombs, they instantly detonate. I came up with this idea (and the garrote wire) as a way to create openings for the Predator. As of right now, the FT has no real incentive to split the party up and a good team of four concentrating on the Predator can be overwhelming at times. Tag two members with these and they effectively go from a squad of 4 to 2 2-man teams or if they miscommunicate, a team of 3 and 1 isolated member. If they stay separated, they never have to worry about the bombs going off but they are weaker. If they go to disarm, that’s two guns that are temporarily out of the fight and are stuck in place. Alternatively, tag one member and a FT objective or the exfiltration point. That member can’t join the team and is now isolated unless someone goes to help. It doesn’t have to stop there. Let’s say the Predator has access to four of these grenades. If you have a Predator that has impeccable aim, none of the FT members is allowed within 15 or so yards of each other. They either have to have incredible teamwork from afar (always maintain line of sight) or sacrifice themselves and have another member call in reinforcements. Perks attached to them could have shorter or longer timers, harder to defuse puzzles, or access to more grenades. You can always balance them by fiddling with the damage/stun effects and the armed radius as well.

I have other ideas, but what do you guys think of these? I tried to think them through pretty well. Let me know if you want to hear more.

For a trap/weapon I would love something like a grappling hook/garrote wire to hang people below you from the tree branch or if used on the ground to forcefully them to you or down from a high perch to take fall damage. I love tools like that. For weapons I just want buffs and status effects like minor bleed or parry resistance added to certain Pred Weapons like Wrist-Blades. Sword and Wrist-Blades should cause small bleed DoT that can be removed with healing items. For the Wrist-Blades you should be able to use the Plasma Caster’s targeting laser to superheat it for more base damage and resistance to parry (loosing the Bleed effect due to cauterizing). Would take as long as Muddy-Up for FT. Pred does this in first movie before dueling Dutch.

I’d really like some kind of gear or something we could use to setup a trap with a wounded or dead fireteam member to callout to the live members and appear alive in a downed state, like in the movie predators

It does tighten , thus dealing damage, but it gets cut off too fast so it can’t do any damage at all.
Unfortunately.

You can, drop a FT member and lay a bear trap on him, then find a nearby tree and start the real shenanigans!
