What's the deal with smokes?

Whenever I pop it it leaves a tiny smoke trail, does it obscure the predators heat vision but leave his regular vision untouched?

no the other way around. smokes do nothing in heat vision. the thermal decoys though i think completely blot out the heat vision but dont do much with regular vision.

Is your Effects set to MEDIUM?

just useless junk to fill the slots, they are almost never usefull, i sometimes throw them on roofs or when i am ressing someone

Ive posted my reaction on another thread if you can do a quick search you’ll find it.
Almost everytime my effects are set on HIGH/EPIC/CINEMATIC they start to work. But on MEDIUM they look like cigarette smoke

I don’t even know what that means. But they are effective against a Predator if they see what you see. Otherwise I believe they can use thermal to find you.
