The problem with that is your extremely loud clicking will give you away in seconds. I was hiding in the bushes behind a tree so I could heal and was leagues away from the FT but one of them followed me and instantly knew where I was because of the sound. The same thing happens when you’re on the ground standing still. Moving gives you away because the cloak is a joke and standing still takes seconds for them to put 2 and 2 together when you’re clicking like a mechanical keyboard.
Whats up with Pred spotting while cloaked?
you were hurt you bleed shows your location to the ft who tracks you blood trails.i also listen to the sound Q the preds making and can pinpoint the location he is in cause of headset.i have had countless times that the ft ran past me and did not notice me in any way shape or form if your not hurt you can become completely invisible only sound q can give your location away bud thy still have to pinpoint the exact location your in and thy do that by spotting or shooting there is no real counter to players that know what there job is is killing you.You can counter this by jumping away and pick a new location to advance and find a way to kill a good fire team you have a wide range of skills and ability to take down the ft it comes down to how you plan out your attacks and stratigy bud i have beaten really good ft and also get raped by them and outplayed you just have to take it to the face and man up and not blame it on game related features that are clearly working as thy planned for
Simple solution to both previous comments is don’t get hurt and throw decoys out to confuse fireteams.
You sit on a roof because there is no tree branches with good view of the FT. The roof gives you the height advantage to see more of the area over the ground. I can set up bear traps around the entrances of buildings easier this way. THATS why i pick a roof.
My point is, is that something isnt right when a fire team can walk into the compound and instantly spot you after you havent moved for 30-45 seconds and they have JUST arrived. They shouldn’t be able to instantly find me via sound if I have audio devices set up at different corners of the compound ether.
Yes I am expecting the occasional spot here and there cause blind luck, but I get spotted WAY more then I should be.

Make pred “clickin n hootin n shit” less directionally obviuous (would be far mosre spooky if it resonated left/right a bit and not exactly from 1 location.

i do understand your frustration by getting spotted bud it wont help you in any way if thy take it away or put a cd on spotting you will always be seen by good ft.Keep in mind those are 4 players looking for 1 pred 8 eyes looking out to spot you and thy also have the game knowledge and sound q to pinpoint your location.make sure there is less eye watching for you kil them asap 2 or 1 and games become more easy for you
without pictures/videos its hard to explain. But there is no way they should know where I am that quickly. Looking up at a roof out of the mutiple roofts or branches with audio decoys laying around, the first place you look is at me? Thats not right.
if this is happens to you in every game you play i would record it and make a constructive post in the feedback category cause every game plays out differently
Get spotted, leap away. Leap back in from another angle, preferably behind the FT.
Don’t ask for the FT to be nerfed, practice more.
The spotting mechanic is broken. This is well known. Don’t try to defend it. Unless of course you’re a Fireteam main and like the cheese 🧀 then of course you’ll defend it. But unfortunately for you and other chessers it will be nerfed. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I play predator mainly. I like a challenge.
it will not make the game play easy for you thy still spot you and shoot you no matter were you hide.
with or without the spotting mechanic. not defending the spotting or abusing it just saying there is no different if you leave it in game or not or nerf it or not
I disagree. It’s a broken mechanic that’s being exploited. Plain and simple.

i dont mind them seeing where i landed and being good at finding me and all that. i dont like the press SPOT and look around the area till you happen to by accident spot it…
Its not a massive issue but some people do use it as a crutch, i feel they as a team wouldnt work so well if they couldnt spot you if invisible. they would have to communicate your position with the “eye” thing and via voice.
All the other spotting im fine with. just the random spam spotting.
i have noticed that PC players can spot you easy if standing still anywhere. And myself i can see a predator if i look closly in the trees. There is a very little shimmer thing on the cloak, so he is not 100% cloaked when standing still those 3+ seconds. I think its a PC thing, since i notice i can stand still and not be spotted when facing PS4 players. so my guess it is a settings diffrence in grafics between the console and PC. Can be wrong, but i spot almost evry predator that stand still. Must have a very trained eye. Now, spamming e to mark the predator is kinda dumb, i would rather they rework the spotting on the predator so it ONLY get marked once you shoot it, not spamming E on treebranches or rooftops due to sound and get lucky to mark him.
Then, you eyes glow or something when using thermal vision, even the bow gives a laser/red light when you aim it…

I fully agree with you though. It’s being used as a crutch or as I like to call it the ‘Predator Detector’. Instead of looking for telltale signs of where the Predator is, they just spam this spot mechanic obnoxiously until they spot you. I don’t see how anyone can defend this. I am also totally fine with the standard spot mechanic, even spamming it would be fine. But the tracking spotting needs to go. Or it could become a perk.

there is a massive leap between pc and console its not graf wise bud its flexibility in mouse and game pad you never beat the sensitivity of a mouse vs a game pad its always going to be a problem in cross play this is why you have the option to put it off in options
The spotting and marking of the predator needs to be removed!
