The melon is a lot of things, but it is also the penultimate symbol of our friendship.

In the early days of the game, I ran into @Forever_Mello in the jungle and he had the same PSN avatar as I - the watermelon. It immediately made me want to kill him.

After the match, we became friends, and Mello took to calling us “the jugs” whenever we would run duos.

Some time passed, and more people joined our core group and began displaying the watermelon as their avatar. Excellent, experienced players, who want to win every game we play.

Melon Men show their opponent respect, play to win the game, don’t make excuses, and are good to each other. We also have a lot of fun, challenge ourselves and the other Melon Men, and share knowledge freely. I’d venture to say each member of the Melon Men is as knowledgeable as the most-knowledgeable of players in this game.
