I don’t know about everyone else but I am sick to my stomach playing this game with so many faults in it when are we going to hear from @IllFonic About what is going to be done because at the moment we have not heard one single word are you going to fix this crap or not if not I wanna refund because this game is pathetic @IllFonic @IllFonic
When are we going to hear from @illfonic!?!?
I think after the pandemic is over that is when we will hear them but just wait tell next update coje then mak ure disicion
I keep seeing the pandemic being used as an easy excuse. The thing about software development is that it can be done without one centralized office where everyone has to gather. As a matter of fact, a lot of software companies spread the workload out amongst different offices in different areas in the country using the internet and virtual meetings.
It isn’t uncommon for smaller developers to work together across the world, many from home, to develop projects.
The pandemic is not a viable excuse when it comes to software. No real physical medium needs to be passed back and forth, and plenty of online meeting and project tools exist. VPNs keep them all nice and tidy on a company intranet, cozy, secure and able to share resources.
The delivered product is the beta, with slight (feel like last minute, and poorly thought of) changes. Then practical silence.
This is similar to the famous games of the 90s where a company would spend a large portion of their budget on securing the rights of a recognized movie and produce something that was thrown together over a month. Except we are in 2020, so not only is it that, but full of the big and small bugs we get from current game design.
A cash grab.
No real content was added since beta.
Serious bugs that existed during beta weren’t addressed.
Promised features on launch weren’t added.
None of it is discussed because they need potential buyers to buy it, and people to keep it long enough to avoid refunds.
But, sure, it is the pandemic that is keeping them from even addressing these issues, but somehow still allowed them to charge money and meet the deadline to get it in their account. Funny how the pandemic worked that way with this particular game and studio.
They’ve been at work, fixing issues and such.
Hell Jordan just literally was streaming like two times today and talking about how the team has been rotating work shifts etc to alleviate a lot of known issues
Jordan being the Lead Design on this game
They will fix things, games only launched three days ago just about. And they did do the patch just before launch which was a step in the right direction
Ik the pandemic is just a not good excuse but there is probably a reason for why they not respond. And dont judge the devs or the the game when it just come out
Bah… the pandemic its a reality, anyway i see much more comunication from Dice with battlefront 2 than this… c’mon how can you believe that they are not able to say NOTHING on this useless forum since thr release the game? Even a statement?.. and honestly… not everyone are players that live of daily stream
I agree they should have released At least a statement just giving us an update on what they are going to do whether it be nothing or sort the game out at the moment we are all just in limbo wasting time and money
Yes and No. Having small studios outsourced to put together smaller things, yes.
But working from home? No.This is a really bad strategy. First, the studio dont have oversight if their employees are really working or not. And second, storing a project worth millions in a computer at home is a bad move in so many ways. (Theft, hardware crash, etc. You want your project stored in HQ on multiple servers, guarded)
