I heard someone mention the brothers have been putting the motion forward since 2016 , but I haven’t looked too deeply at it . I stopped enjoying anything new with this franchise 10 years ago

The franchise has indeed gone through a lot of ups and downs but as a whole Comics, Games, Movies ECT. I personally feel the amount of bad is still less than the amount of good but the bad has been so Potently Bad that it hurts more and feels worse…to me at least. All things considered with the amount of lore and already created content at their disposal it’s shocking that the last 2 Movies have been such a complete shit show, (AVP is technically its own thing now so I don’t include those in this) I mean imagine if they just brought The Concrete Jungle Comic to the big screen and brought Arny back for at least a cameo they would have fared much better than they did with Predators and The Predator…Fuck It even The Concrete Jungle Game would have been a better choice than those two hunks of shit…
The last movie I enjoyed was predators , although I enjoyed some of this game? Its had more bad than good . So the last game I really enjoyed was avp 2010 and the others plus concrete jungle . I cant speak on the graphic novels etc but everything else has sucked .
The most prominent and best part of live action cinema? Arguably ended in 1990 . Predators has its qualities but its pale in comparison.

I own about 85% of the comics, books, and old games and all of the movies and trust me most of the magic is in between the pages and not on the screen, which is usually the case with these things 😁 but my main issues with Predators is
#1 why are we trying to force a tough guy Adrien Brody in my face? I will NEVER think that dude is tough so stop it.
#2 why in the Holy Hell did we bring Eric Foreman to the Hunting World? Just because he’s a shady doctor that murders people? How at all that translates to something that a Big Bad Super Pred would want to hunt is beyond me. Also how would they even know thats what he does? Or care?
#3 why even have the Jungle Hunteresque Pred in the movie if he was just going to get his dick stood on almost immediately after his introduction?

1# it was rumoured early on that Royce was going to be played by Michael jai white or he was at least approached , as for brody? I’ve no fucking clue but its miles better than both avps and 2018.
2#im guessing that’s topher graces character? 😁 it is odd but on the same point , isn’t Walton goggins’ character the same? A death row inmate? At least he was charismatic and funny .

#1 Michael Jai White would have been Sooooo much Better and that should have gone through.
#2 I don’t agree with the concept in general of the whole “lets grab a bunch of people and throw them on a game reserve planet to hunt them at our leisure” as it implies that they people watch as a past time in order to gain info on them and by proxy have some sort of system in place in which they can remotely stalk people, I would assume at least, even those that are locked up in prisons or murdering patients in a Doctor’s office which is kind of dumb IMO and it goes against the established lore from the first 2 movies in which they come when its hot to places of conflict and hunt people.
#3 Nostalgia is fine and all but it seemed like a further waste of time and money to build another suit/s for less then 10 min of screen time, especially when you could have cut some useless members of the cast list and put in More Predators like the name of the movie implies 😁
But I will concede that it is a more enjoyable movie than AVP and most of AVPR minus WOLF because that dude was a BAMF and is the only reason I still rewatch that movie 😆
What you can actually see in that movie , my god the lighting sucked ass . Danny trejo was possibly the worst character along with topher grace . The whole stealing people from war zones might have been believable, but yeah it takes away from how they originated .
Noland was originally meant to be harrigan in the original script aswell , but the franchise has been stale for a while
