Who here started on PS4 trial and decided 2go PC?

  • I was one of them. Tried it on PS and said the controls were fucked up and picked it up on Epic.
  • I stayed on PS even with the PC option. I was sold on Playstation right away with the trial.

this is necessary to know. Who here played the trial and was sold day one on PS where PC was actually there for you?

Console controls are so fucked up for FT I feel bad.

Someone at Illfonic watched a pred sprint a full circle around a console FT without them able to turn accurately to keep up on max settings and motion blur & was like “Yeah. These are good ported controls. Ship it.”

Heres the thing, I played against some really good PS FT players (me as pred). I can’t say how, but Im thinkning there is a strategy to winning but it requires a full coms PS team running a deathsquad philosophy.
But either way, on the trial I was turned off because of the constant rotation on my controller causeing my screen to move constantly to the right. Like as if it wasn’t calibrated correctly.

Controls suck ass on console, no doubt. And the aiming feels way off. Other games like COD are much smoother even without the aim assist

Soo COD has something similar to an ape jumping infront of you to 20 km behind you?

Just let me know if there is anything like that in COD and ill just leave this game.

I didn’t have PS Plus account so I wasn’t able to do a beta test, I joined up in the game in May a few days after I graduated High School

I won’t pretend to know what you’re saying. All I’m saying is the aiming in this game is much less smooth than other games.

I wouldn’t say I stuck with PS because I was sold, its more like "I can’t afford a proper gaming PC right now"🤣. Plus I thought IllFonic would improve the PS version alot more then they have right now…

highly doubtful. If you do any work on a computer you’d be able to figure out a thing or two and afford a good video card.

Sounds like microsoft getting people on Ryzen CPUs for WIndows11 is like a moment of trying to get people involved in computers much the same way 60 year olds were to the new technology in the 90s.

There’s much more than a “good gpu” to make a proper gaming PC. From display and peripherals to upgraded CPU and hard disk. Not to mention that most OEM PCs will not have a power supply that delivers the proper wattage to power a GPU. Hell, some may not even have the connector at all, and shit like HP, Dell, Lenovo, have their own proprietary connectors, so a standard ATX PSU cannot even be used with them

Every component has their psu requirements. I know its not a visit to the grocery store, yeah. but im sure consumers need to be aware of such things because its not a 1 parts upgrade, its usually “get a whole” system upgrade if they are inclined to have peace of mind for the next 4 years. But i doubt they really need it.
Unfortunately companets aren’t marketed with a persons "cutting’ edge mentality in mind,
They should actually be inclined on understanding what would make their gameplay spec requirement in mind. Most of them don’t know the difference between 50ps and 120fps. And i’m sure most people would just go for 120fps for the fun of it. but its the difference of 800 bucks and 3000 bucs.

You can’t expect the typical consumer to have the knowledge of tequies who have been in the hobby for a while. Also, they may not be all up for the hobby either. I know a lot of friends who recognize the superiority of PC gaming yet settle down for consoles because they just do not want to deal with all the shit involved in PC gaming, and that’s fair.

It used to be better. 10 years ago finding a normal consumer PC with proprietary parts was rare. Today, that’s the norm for most big manufacturers. Even Alienware PC’s cannot be upgraded as easily, ever since Dell bought them and started using proprietary non-standard hardware.

In the end, is better to buy components and put together the system yourself, or pay someone to do it for you, or have a friend do it for you. Is not rocket science, but some people may simply not be interested in going through that

Look at this Alienware PSU, for example

That shit doesn’t even have a standard 24 pin ATX motherboard connector. That means that if you replace the motherboard, you need to replace the PSU. It also means that if you want to upgrade the GPU, let’s say to a 3080TI which requires 3 8pin PCIe connectors, that PSU will simply not work, and you can’t just go buy an EVGA or Corsair which are standard ATX, because it won’t even power on, as there is no 24 motherboard connector on the motherboard, which is necessary for a standard ATX PSU to power on. Shit is a lot more complicated now ever since manufacturers started to follow Apple’s principle of “let’s make shit unrepairable so we can sell more”

Yep, my buddy has a console and won’t get a desktop ever. He has a laptop for surfing. He’s still on a PS3 for godsakes!

Those dell alienware, hp omen, lenovo legion, etc… I advice anyone to stay away from them. They are a waste of money, overpriced and you won’t be able to upgrade or fix them yourself unless you buy original parts, which may be extremely hard to get and/or very pricey

dont buy any fancy pants machine worth less than 400 even if it looks like an oldschool stereo. its trash.
