Who needs balance?! (Buff FT nerf Pred!)

What is the point of having separate classes when you just end up with 2-3 field medics rounded off with Dutch 2025s, 87s and Dantes? (In turn, the playstyle to deal with said loadouts above, turns into you being labelled as a Predator that doesnt play properly, while you have people abusing FM and other higher HP player combinations).

The DMG FT can do is absurd, they need this amount of health as well?

@OldKingHamlet @Courier

I can only imagine being a newer player, joining into the jungle, seeing this and being incredibly discouraged from playing the predator due to running into teams that are made this way.

There is, just not in random. Experienced players expect all their teammates to suck unless they recognize names. So load in with their strongest builds unless they’re dickin around not being serious.

Inexperienced players either try to duplicate what works till they’re comfortable enough to experiment or just go for the highest stats they like.

Also…cuz Dutch

Hah. I was literally making a poll about this exact topic right now, and, hopefully, we could discuss how to make the other classes more even with these team comps.

Of the cuff:
Nerf

  • Field Medic revive needs to be increased to at least 2 seconds, or even 2.5

  • Dante should have 8 perk points

  • Dutch 87 should have 10 perk points

Also, I still think weapons are a little out of line, although this isn’t quite the same topic.

  • I still think the SAWZ50 needs about a 15% reduction in starting damage
  • The Grimtech19 and 101112 pistols need a heavy reduction (~25%) in the firerate cap, especially if you are PC Predator and constantly have to deal with macro use.

Honestly from PC experience…it’s easy to abuse that fire rate without macros. Agree (unfortunately because it’s my favorite must fun part of playing FT) the fire rate needs to be adjusted. I’d only tweak the 1011 though and hit the grimtech a little harder. Don’t really wanna see it go back to being useless

The only thing preventing dumb melee smashers is those two weapons, and even then, in a 1v1 scenario you are still going down. Hand guns are not ranged weapons. They only deal significant damage from 3 meters or less.

I get it, the game isn’t supposed to be 1v1, but when you play with potato randoms, there’s no other choice. You remove that, and no good player will go solo pubs. You extend Pred queue times because there’s less people playing FT now and on top of it, you stretch the skill gap even further as now you either fight 4 random potatoes or a full premade.

Grimtech should have two fire modes

3 round burst

Fully automatic

1011 needs a long slide option with scope/laser

True. They’re still very quick to weapon swap and would still have 5% DPS higher than the AR-W at max firerate and, of course, DUELIST.

This would be nice, if it were true. Unfortunately, the damage drop off is not very steep with the Pistols. They maintain high damage even about 70% at 25m and at 10m they’re still at 90% damage.

I dunno, I’ve been experimenting quite a bit with different builds and having fun.

Right now I’m running a Recon with Sniper Spec, OWLF Training, Yautja’s Bane & Tracker Perks with the Hammerhead, PDL as the weapons & UAV scanner & ACIG grenades for my gear. Just constantly spotting the Pred forever.

agreed on the dmg reduction on those weapons.

In the current state of how FT can just do as they please, truly puts the predator in a position that no matter what they do, they cannot counter the FT. Even utilizing cheap tactics.

There’s little to no incentive to want to play as the Predator of this is just the norm and now makes a ton of sense why people just come and go.

Guess it follows the lore of Predators constantly losing lmao

Ha. The good teams, like melons and power rangers, yeah they’re probably going to escape and you’ll get killed if you push too hard.

For new predator players, they just have to hope they get potatoes.

I highly doubt that, but let’s say they do… doesn’t matter. Recoil is bad and your complain is the fire-rate/macro. So you can nail one or two shots at that distance… boohoo… any other assault rifle is way better at that range.

but it isn’t.

You guys talk as if you are versing premades and decent players all the time when you all know that ain’t the fucking reality. 9 times out of 10 you are playing against potatoes and players that leave the lobby if you kill them in a minute

Yes. Recon tracker is viable as well as scout duelist with double time and thick skin.

I think the problem that @Elliott626 is pointing out is that teams with multiple support field medics, Dante, and Dutch 87 are so strong that they don’t even need speed or tracking because there’s not much any predator can do to them anyway, at least not in the 3 to 4 minutes that most missions take to complete.

Its as if people, when this is brought up, literally pretend like this doesnt happen.

Its getting very annoying at this point LMAO.

OR

It shows how much some people DONT play both sides and understand the complete situation.

There’s a difference between what’s normal in a game-to-game basis, and what’s normal when you’re going up against premade teams.

I had literally 5 back to back premades today.

It can happen even if you cant fathom it.

Sadly, this might be due to the player base thinning out.

You can’t balance the game among top tier premades. Because they are not the majority of players.

Ive versed quite a few premade. Premades are nothing. The problem is good players. Even two good players are hard to beat if you aint that good (which im not).

That’s why I got the game on steam. The ultra dupper premades play with crossplay off. I never encounter them anymore
