I highly doubt fireteam hunting grounds is going to allow you to leap around with a shield when pred isnt even allowed to swap midair so its literally useless. unless your knife fighting FT or another pred like a memer.

Well, the assumption lays in the fact that the shield should have a very manageable defensive weapon …if that shield wields a great amount of protection, he should be able to dish out some damage with a semi-splash damage weaponry. So I would say Plasma caster and some other weapon, maybe the plasma fun or City Hunters fire thingy.

Sounds like your camping days are under the possible threat of a hard counter from a 1-man army.
Listen a caster is basically automatic. that ithink makes it freak in an awesome mechanic with a sheild how that would be with a plasma gun…i dont know…but bow and arrow would be too OP.
I mean technically, you need to be able to hold a shield with one hand like in the trailer.
You would technically have one hand free and one can’t wave a Hammer like a fairy wand! nor can you shoot a fucking a bow and arrow! u dig!?

Its definitely an intriguing idea, but I think that it would have to have a stamina/durability gauge so predators can’t just be immune to frontal damage as long as they want.
Possibly make curtain weapons do a chunk of chip damage too? Like the rocket launcher, grenades, grenade launcher, maybe slight damage from the plasma AR? But completely immune to bullet based weaponry.
Also I think limit the predators ranged offensive capabilities as well, because i don’t care who you are, IllFonic Dev, content creator, PHG Pro, etc., a predator with a shield out while spamming the plasmacaster is extremely stupid🤬. However, allow the predator to do some kind of bashing attacks or pair the shield with SPECIFIC melee weapons like the wrist blades…but not heavy hitters like the battle axe.
Perhaps to balance a melee weapon with a shield, each would take one weapon slot in a loadout? Maybe you would need to use a perk to allow the two?..not sure.🤔

Shield is straight up bs in any game. I play BF and mofos with Espinoza just run up to you and tap you with the Shield and that’s it you’re dead, there’s no counter to it.
