I got 2 episodes in and the acting made it unwatchable. Tell me how it ended.
It was cancelled 😁 as much as I can remember (spoilers) he finds out he wasn’t actually mutated , he died and his dna mixed with chemicals in the swamp . He was basically his consciousness . Compared to other dc shows? Its a fucking masterpiece
It loosely follows some of the Alan Moore stories. Since it got canned, 3 episodes were not even shot, cutting out any possible confrontation between Swampy and the Floronic Man and Abby perhaps unlocking her magical abilities.
Swampy is dissected by who would become the Floronic Man and told that he’s a sentient plant with Alec Hollands memories. There is no going back for him. His human self has been destroyed. Abby decides to stay in Louisiana and help Swampy make some kind of sense of his new life and abilities. Most of the evil characters get whats coming to them. Also, a version of Blue Devil is introduced, but instead of it being a cybernetic costume like in the original comics, its kinda like a blue version of a Baron of Hell from DooM 2016. It’s left open for additional seasons, but I HIGHLY doubt there will be more. The costumes and sets were among the best I’ve seen in a comic based show. Derek Mears proves again that he is a very good suit actor. I wish he and Doug Jones could do a season 2. Jones could make a superb Anton Arcane. Also, Mears should play Killer Croc or Clayface.
