For me it was Cameron Monaghan who played Jerome Valeska and Jeremiah Valeska in the Gotham TV series, with Heath Ledger in 2nd.

All except for Heathās. He was less viable because he had less story. I def liked Jerome. Alot more colour. I think even the batmanās recent depiction was too much Nolan Joker-like.
Still i think even Letos take on it was more well rounded in character but less in story.
Best out of all of them was Nicholsonās take. Still wish they would put Jack Napierās Joker into an Arkham game simply because Tim Burtonās take (although more ethereal) made for a more story driven joker than any of the newer guys combined. We never get a real origin story asides from maybe Jeromeās take but it was more convoluted and original in Gotham.
Heath Ledgerās Joker was too much of a sap story combined with the actorās suicide that sap coated the whole thing. Canāt say Iām much of a fan of a holywood union actorās real life ordeal being more overwhelming than one of the villians he portrayed. Bane was more powerful than he was character-wise.

Nicholson or Romero. A lot of people tend to forget Joker is supposed to be a goof, a murderous psychopath, but a goof. Every iteration after Nicholson was like āletās make him dark and disturbing and he just kinda laughsā itās very bland despite ledger giving a great performance of a character nothing like Joker.

Nicholson, then Hamill, then Ledger, then Romero, then Pheonix, then (Heaving sighā¦) Leto ONLY because I havenāt watched Gotham. But Iāve had it with Jokers who have to wear makeup rather than have the chemically altered skin and hair.

You should watch Gotham bro. Even if you donāt enjoy the overall show (which is IMO great) Jerome Valeska will make you love it. Even just watch some tribute vids of him on YouTube
I refuse to watch Pheonixās Joker. EVer. Reminds me too much of a troubled person i used to know. She was scary as fuck, and watching The Joker wont make my memory of her any more favourable.

I have no faith in the TV shows. Supergirl stunk. The flash started off ok, then stunk. Titans stunk. Legends of tomorrow stunk. Batwoman is an abomination. Swamp thing was pretty neat, so of course it got cancelled. So I donāt want to watch Gotham or Doom Patrol.

You sound like you watched it in the same order I have. Your view totally makes sense. They all have a whole downhill thing going. But I have to say Gotham stood out as something different than all the rest.
The first couple of Flash seasons were super then it went too multiverse and lost me. I was all on board with seeing the original Flash come backā¦then even the new guy who plays him in the filmsā¦but still havenāt gotten around to it.

I just named them randomly. Swamp thing was the last one I watched and the flash was the first. But Iāve been following DC and Marvel properties since Lou Ferrigno. Most arenāt that good, but some have some redeemablility. The ONLY good thing to really come from the infinite earthās tv crossover was Routh returning as Superman and completing the Reeve/Ruth Superman story arc.

Heath by far, although Iām admittedly biased because Iāve really enjoyed him in other films. Honorable mention for Joaquin Phoenix because I think heās low-key a genius who just keeps playing shitty parts.

Watch the Bats TAS episode āAlmost Got Emā and that will catapult Hamill to 2nd or even 1st. Then play the damn Arkham games (except Origins, which he isnāt in.).

For more diabolical: Heath Ledger
For more insane: Mark Hamill
For straight out of the comics: Jack Nicholson
Those are the three i think is best for being the Joker
